Obama supporter? Yes, I contributed money to his 2008 campaign. Then we got 4 years of lies, selling out, and excellent speeches, while our economy suffered under the weight of Obama's uncontrolled spending. Needless to say, Obama got no contributions from me in 2012, and he didn't get my vote either (I voted for the best candidate - Gary Johnson).
As between Obama and Romney, I would have voted for Obama. But there were better choices on the ballot than Romney or Obama, and I didn't want to "waste" my vote by voting for either Romney or Obama.

How did this thread get turned into a discussion of Obama/Romney?

Scott,
Gary Johnson was all over the mainstream media, just not as much as the two turds who were the front runners. He received more votes than any Libertarian candidate in history. What makes him better han Obama or Romney? Track record. As a Republican governor in a democratic state (New Mexico), Gary Johnson cut the size of the New Mexico State government, resulting in a budget surplus. He served two terms and was term limited out. He is a middle of the road Republican with Libertarian values. That means he's fiscally conservative and socially liberal, the best of both worlds!
But alas, we're stuck with a guy who has no plans of ever balancing the budget. Obama is looking forward to the USA's emulation of Greece . . . coming soon!

Ooops! my sentence was cut short. Do not know why. It should have been read as...
"In the face of the current fiscal cliff, I do not know. can anyone explain why Gary Johnson was not elected given his strong credetial which 144001 shows up? Possibly, this could have been media bia for sure"
And to james_woods, question: "How did this thread get turned into a discussion of Obama/Romney?" It started with 144001's disclosure of his preferance for American cars. We all know President Obama saved American car makers from callapse. I thought may be he voted for POTUS which of course he did in the first term of POTUS. This time, it was for Gary Johnson. I think, you got the connection. Sometimes, cars and politics are inseparable.

Some are. I have found that the ones who have fast cars but NO money are the worst tools.
Of course, I know one or two people who drive a Prius who are also complete tools.
My first car was a Chevrolet Corvair Monza - which was essentially destroyed by Ralph Nader - in the name of "consumer good".
Ralph Nader was and is a complete tool.
