A semi-auto rifle is a far, far cry from a machine gun. Not even close.
Who gives a shit if it's not the same thing as a machine gun? It can kill dozens of people in less than a minute. James Holmes had a AR-15 semi-automatic rifle (amongst other weapons) and it helped him shoot over 70 people in a movie theatre. He purchased all his weapons legally.
And who are you to lecture on how many rounds of ammunition a person should be allowed to possess legally?
Gee, getting a tad bit defensive there Low-Key? That's the best response you can come up with? I have no say whatsoever in how much ammo you want to arm yourself with. But your President does. And something tells me that after this latest massacre, he's going to do something about it.
