Billions of people do stand on reality, others seek an alternative of their own. I totally understand the desire to put faith in a hope for the future. At the end of the day reality is a persistent intruder.

Nonsense of the highest degree. A good example of imagination at work...aren't humans a fascinating species!

I know... it's very confusing to be commanded to live in the world, and at the same time be no part of the world, but good luck with that!

Yes you did. You said you "think too much" to become a JW. That is a boast that disrespects everybody else on this forum.

You threw lack of critical thinking in my face in regard to when 'I had been a jw', as a means to dismiss me and any thought that i might be able to think and reason. I defended myself, and since that took away from your original insult, you have found a way to throw my defense in my face instead.

I am not insulting anyone on this board, because everyone on this board has used critical thinking to leave the wts, just as i used it to reverse my decision to get baptized.

If you are taking it as an insult, then perhaps you should examine why that is.

So Tammy, if you could stick to the topic - how would the world look any different if your chatty god existed only in the over-active imaginations of religious folk like yourself?

Billions of people think they stand on reality... of all sorts of persuasions.

I put faith in more than just a hope, though, Glad.

But you are correct that reality is what it is... regardless of what anyone thinks it might be. I say, if you are not hurting me and I am not hurting you (I and you in general), and neither of us is hurting others... then live and let live. (I know that you say the same, so we're on the same page in that)

I'm not sure that was the topic. And I already answered the question that you asked.

Just have to look at and follow Christ. It is only confusing when i take my eye off him, to look at what someone else is saying or teaching instead.

So thanks, and no worries :)

No you didn't you said something silly about how nobody could believe in god if he didn't exist. It was nonsense as well as being a non-answer.

So - how would the world look any different if your chatty god existed only in the over-active imaginations of religious folk like yourself?
