One thing here. I thought we are only allowed 10 posts in a 24 hour span. How can Lars have 15 posts in a 19 hour time span?

Plus I thought hijacking someone's post was against the forum rules? UM....I have no idea what you all are even talking about. This is so far off topic from the original post.

This isn't a good first impression for my dad, because he is disgusted because he was trying to HELP!!!!!! and this is what happens to his second post. He has a lot more good points to bring out to try and help you people on reaching your friends and family....I know him, he's not going to help if this is what happens. And this forum will lose a very intelligent man, and I'm not just saying this because he's my father, but because he can actually think things through and reason.

As far as I'm concerned Lars is acting like the typical JW trying to scream his point....here's a suggestion....ignore Lars, because he's just going to keep on saying he's right and have the last word, like typical JW do and WE ALL KNOW how right they are.

The longer you are a member of this forum the more posts you get allocated. I get about 100 every 24 hours but I rarely use more than 10.

@Gojira_101 You or your father need not worry about Lars taking the thread of topic.

Most who visit this site regularly are familiar with the content of Lars' posts and don't even feel the need to read them. Telling people here to ignore Lars is like telling people here to ignore the GB.... you are preaching to the converted. Some like to read what he says just to refute him, kinda like reading the WT just to find the errors in logic. But please understand that Lars has not said anything here that he hasn't said before, and his posts have not really taken away from the original discussion.

In saying that, it is a shame that a relatively simple issue, constantly gets clouded by pages and pages of irrelevant information.

Lars has been banging virtually the same drum on numerous places on the internet for well over 10 years under various names. He is THE 'Legion' ("for we are many" - cf. Mk. 5:9 ) of ex-JW, revisionist chronologers.

Oh and threads go off track all the time. Annoying, but part of DB territory. You learn to quickly skip through irrelevant posts.

I never/seldom agree with Larsinger...but I will defend his rights to express himself om this forum. I am a bit shamed to say that I sometimes ignore some of his posts. But, nevertheless I think it is important to be tolerant to each others in this forum.

I myself was rude to a believer some months ago....maybe I was a bit provoked...but I learned to know thats this poster/believer is a very nice and kind person. I am still ashamed about that.

Perheaps Larsinger is a very nice and kind person? Who knows? Who are we to judge him?

We can disagree with him, and it's fine with that...and he can disagree with us. But let's not act like bullies.

All I know is, I found my new faith on the history channel over the weekend. Sir Isaac Newton (who we all know was WAY more brilliant than Charles Taze Russell and... whats-his-other-face before Russell)... predicted it will all end in 2060 using Daniel's prophetical statements. I couldn't stay awake to see if 607 BC could be jerry-rigged to make Newton's date work.

Maybe the GB can leverage 2060 AD for their next prophecy of Armageddon.

Newbies are allowed 10 posts per 24 hour period. It's bumped up after some time period.

If he wants to post and only have positive comments viewable then he should start a blog with moderated comments. This is an open discussion board. This forum has lots of intelligent people with lots of good points. If you start by saying how smart he he is we need his help and being thin-skinned regarding comments and complaining about "you people", well.... you aren't going to get very far with that attitude.

As I said, there are LOTS of intelligent people here. Starting out with telling people how much they need you is .... not a good start.

Well...there is a lot of speculation about 2014..100 years after 1914. I am a bit surprized that the GB don't try to stop those speculations

I'm learning something about presenting things to the JWs I'm in contact with. I ask questions, create theories and then ask THEM to research. To refute claims of this nature, they HAVE to come out of jw.org and that CD of wisdumb. ANY statement that can be refuted by the WTS's claims seem to be moot. This? This is PERFECT.

As far as the challenges go, let your Dad know that this is the BEST place to fine tune his argument! Tell him to KEEP GOING!!!!
