mrsjones, even if he's not my mediator, the ransom he paid applies to me if I wish to claim it, and I do.

Don't tell me, you think you're anointed? Funny cuz the GB has declared that those who claim to be so aren't to be listened to or at least not taken seriously. The GB has claimed the anointed 144,000 status as all their own. Tough break watch.

a watchtower- the WTBTS views you as merely a foreign proselyte to the covenent , like when the gentiles wanted to worship they could not have any part of the preistly duties or fight in Israels wars nor have land or do any of the things the jews were allowed to do but still were practicing the religion . If you did not eat and drink on memorial eve then that excludes you from the claim of being a christian . I do know they used the term spiritual jew today you see the term jehovahs christian witnesses , the new FDS dogam says you become part of christs belongings that they are apointed over .

    watcher,

Come back anytime. Eventually you will connect the dots, everyone here did in their own time frame.

    We enjoy exchanging thoughts.

QC, thank you. I've been a member here for almost a year, and I lurk here every day.

punkofnice suggested that I start my 1rst thread, and so I did. My 1rst one didn't do so well so I started this one and it took off like a shot. Rather overwhelming, actually.

I'm not really here to 'connect the dots'. I came here to get the scoop on things that are not on jw.org. I love being one of JW's. I hope to be one forever.

    and

My point is that Jehovah is the only true God, and those that refuse to serve Him will have no future.

    and

I believe I must COOPERATE with, not serve, the GB. This is the arrangement Jehovah has put in place to accomplish His will at this time.

"Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among you and be submissive..." (Heb 13:17)

    Oh boy.

I'm curious, do you read and comprehend your own literature? Check this out:

Because of listening to the Devil and not rejecting his lies, the first human pair apostatized. So, then, should we listen to apostates, read their literature, or examine their Web sites on the Internet? If we love God and the truth, we will not do so. We should not allow apostates into our homes or even greet them, for such actions would make us ‘sharers in their wicked works.’ (2 John 9-11) May we never succumb to the Devil’s wiles by abandoning the Christian “path of truth” to follow false teachers who seek to “introduce ruinous ideologies” and try to ‘exploit us with well-turned phrases.’—2 Peter 2:1-3, WT 06 1/15 "

7 What is involved in avoiding false teachers? We do not receive them into our homes or greet them. We also refuse to read their literature, watch TV programs that feature them, examine their Web sites, or add our comments to their blogs. Why do we take such a firm stand? Because of love. We love “the God of truth,” so we are not interested in twisted teachings that contradict his Word of truth.

What about your vow to cooperate with the GB - an arrangement as put in place by Jehovah to accomplish his will? (to recap your comments)

    Think about it.

But really - good topic. This will help a lot of lurkers out...more so than you know.

    Peace.

The WTS doesn't tell you everything? Say it isn't so!

mrsjones, I am not one of the anointed.

I think you're getting ransom and mediator mixed up.

The ransom applies to the anointed AND EVERYONE who will live in the Kingdom on earth.

Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant, and only the anointed are included in that covenant, although everyone who will live in the Kingdom on earth will benefit from it.

Not according to the watchtower. They say the ransom applies only to the 144,000. You're not included. I don't think you really get it. Nowhere in the bible does it say that Christ's sacrifice is only limited to the 144,000. You only think so because the watchtower told you so. There are topics upon topics on this board covering that very fact of the watchtower lying about the true nature of the ransom sacrifice. Shame.
