I do remember my VW had a lever on the floor that opened the extra gallon of fuel for you if you ran out of petrol in your main tank .But you had to remember to turn the lever back if you used it after you topped up. And of course I didn`t and ran out of fuel.

Seat belts...they hadn't been invented yet had they? And even when they had, people didn't want to use them. I remember babys sliding around on the back seat....in their carry cot.

LOL ....yeah....the little triangle windows...I forgot about them...LOL

LOL...I had to check. Because I don't remember people wearing seatbelts. But apparently they've been around for a long time. Didn't catch on obviously.

We had a sign off in New Zealand. It was called 'The goodnight Kiwi" I think it was always around 11:00ish and would be followed by a Lifeline advertisement.

I remember back in 1962 when the telephone company change out our wood box telephone that hung on the wall which had a crank on the side with a dial phone. To top it off it was on a party line. Our rings was two shorts and one long. If it was not your ring you could pick up the phone and listen to others talking. Totally ADD
