Do some research why the original vikings of Greenland died. I ll give you a clue it wasnt global warming but many think it was cooling. They basically started when it was warmer, then died when it got colder.

If you cant tell there is a trend you can look up basic linear regression and hypothesis testing and check it statistically, the kicker is there are people out there who have done that.

Again appeal to authority. It should be so basic to show a graph with a line going straight up and up and yet you cant.

The explanation is the (local) temperature for one year is a random variable, you could also carry your argument to the extreme by observing the (hourly) maximum temperature in 1910 was a lot higher than the (hourly) minimum of 2012; that wouldnt proove anything either.

And yet 2010 is almost hte same as 1910. Your exaple is very much an increase but half the graphs on this and the page before dont come close to that.

The grey boxes show decadal averages.

Are the grey boxes trending above or below the line as time progresses? Above/below/can't tell - your answer pls
