Your story sounds similar. It is great that you can talk to your spouse tho. Mine is in the process of being caught again. After all those years, can't believe it, and we can't talk about it.
Thats why I come here, cause some things can make you nuts and if you don't say something you'll explode!
And as for "spiritual things" there are things that I have always known, believed, and felt, but I never knew the bible passage, chapter or verse, or really cared. I didn't think that a god would test you on scripture citations, like a lady in our neighborhood used to do before she'd give you some fudge if you got it right. Boy, her front porch was packed some days.
