This is a portion of the 1991 Elders book page 96, the new one explains basically the same. These instructions will open the door for the pervert elders to inquire about “positions and landings”.

    Loose conduct is a shocking, flagrant disregard for Jehovah's moral standards. (Gal. 5:19; w83 3/15 p. 31; w73

9/15 pp. 574-6) It may include the willful practice of heavy petting or the fondling of breasts.

The nature, circumstances, and actual extent of what has occurred may indicate loose conduct, which would

require judicial action. Such practices can easily lead to por.nei´a.

"Por.nei´a" involves immoral use of the genitals of at least one human ( whether in a natural or a perverted way, and

there must have been another party to the immorality‹a human of either sex or a beast; willing participation incurs

guilt and requires judicial action. It is not a casual touching of the sex organs between persons but involves the

    manipulation of the genitals. (w83 6/1 pp. 23-6; w83 3/15 pp. 30-1)

It includes oral and anal sex or mutual masturbation between persons not married to each other, homosexuality,

    lesbianism, fornication, adultery, incest, and bestiality. (Lev. 20:10, 13, 15, 16; Rom. 1:24, 26, 27, 32)

    Redundant naming of a subset?

I was never in a JC. But I ended up in a back room when I wanted to separate from my abusive husband... The second time!!!

The PO sneered at me across the table pointed his finger at me and yelled: "You're not doing it Jehovah's way!!! I guess he forgot the night I called him hysterical as hubbie was tearing the house apart in a mad fury. I guessed he missed the part where I said I was suicidal. I burst into tears. The other 2 elders were like brothers to me asked me how I felt when I left the first time. I said: good! They both nodded. That was my cue: RUN!

Years later PO apologizes to me as it became evident hubbie was a nutter.

i eventually left and none of them said one word!

Datadog: "The elders have no clue and no training" spot on.

Valkyrie: A further example of no education.

Straightshooter: good and bad. Not good enough by far. In the position they are in their is no room for such feeble excuses as 'good and bad' the damage the "bad" do to sad, dismal depressed people is just to much to be allowed to happen.

Of course we neglect to mention the hebrew scriptures ( old testament ) where jehovah condones / sanctions , murder , genocide , rape, incest , slavery , because , putting aside those small lapses of judgement , jehovah has the highest of moral standards . NOT.

I totally agree. It is such an embarrassing and humiliating experience. At the time, I was 20 and the brothers on my JC were all over 50 and asked specific questions as to touching, groping, fondling, penetrating, clothed or unclothed, etc. My fiance was in another congregation and he didn't get asked any of these kinds of questions. He was "reproved" and I was disfellowshipped. And I was truly repentant. When they told me I was going to be disfellowshipped, I burst out crying and the first thing I asked was if Jehovah was still going to hear my prayers. These men are totally heartless. JC's are a complete farce!

    TTATT is often real ugly.

How appalling that these things go on unchecked.

How devastating for the unsuspecting victims.

Why is such a high percentage of the "ruling religious clergy class" so sick and so filthy?

My husband stopped a JC where the sister confessed but one of the other elders started grilling her about detailed sexual practices. He said he would not continue and they would have to start all over with another elder. He asked if they asked brothers the same questions knowing they did not. The sister wanted to be df'd and had said so...so why the free porn questions.

I find there are 2 kinds of elders, the bad ones and the so-called good ones who are afraid to say anything. It was more the lack of action by elders that convinced my husband that God was not behind the elders.

The 3 men at mine who portrayed themselves as kind and just in the congregation showed themselves to be anything but at the JC. It was so shocking it destroyed my trust in the org forever. At least that set me free from attempting to get reinstated and I told them that. I recall that one fidgeted and one refused to meet my eyes The 3rd offered to help me make straight paths for my feet. I countered that my feet were already on a straight path and left.
