So you went camping with a guy named Bob but his name is Kenneth, basically because the people who introduced you didn't actually know Ken and they introduced him as Bob. And as hard to believe as their ignorance is, they even put down everyone else who wasn't acquainted with Bob, but Ken hasn't let on to them about the whole thing. Mmmm.

Anyway, because your friends, you started camping with Ken who you've been calling Bob. Well, I suppose if his name's not actually Bob, maybe you could politely ask sometime if it's OK to be calling him Bob.

Probably not, but you'd have to wonder what Ken thinks about people beating on others who don't call him Bob. And then again, if enough people eventually started calling him Robert the robot, and help other people having sex with kiddies, he might prefer to go back to being called Kenneth. The Bob thing would ring a bell, but He's got big shoulders..

Here is an example kinda like that.

One of my sis-in-laes married a man name Fartivarsomethingoranother.
NO ONE could pronounce his name correctly. His employer got really tired of trying to pronounce his name and his co-workers couldn't pronounce it either nor half the family he married into could pronounce it properly so one day he decided to tell everyone to just call him Fred.
He has been and is to this day known as Fred. Anyone comes up to him and calls him by his REAL name (like his mother for example) Have no idea eho they are reffereing to. It just sounds strange. He is a FRED now. Still the same guy he was all along but just FRED. He's not a FAKE FRED and no one who calls him FRED is INGNORANT either.
