Hector: It is so obvious that your only purpose in being here is to do more harm to persons already suffering; to take sheep already skinned and thrown about and beat them some more.

    Sad you say.

Well, sadder still is you ;you bring nothing to the table and offer us no empathy, no healing words. Just MORE judgement and MORE emotional BATTERING. Lots and lots of doctrinal dialogue which does nothing for those of us who were mistreated.

Fortunately the world is not like you. The people behind the doors you preach at are believing the victims, and helping us where Watchtower has failed.

    It speaks for itself.

Just keep throwing all this doctrinal debate around instead of healing and kindness. It shows you for who you are.

It also speaks reams about where you are going to go when your life on this planet is finished.

As I have stated before the WT was represented at the UN just like those twenty four catholic organizations.

Its a fact. And it's also a fact that if you have representation just like the Catholics did with its 24 NGOs, then your organization is just as guilty. That is what the 1991 WT article is telling you.

Its also a fact that the WT writer did not add the sentence before the 24 catholics sentence and also did not add part of the next sentence from Muller's quote. A clear nail in the coffin.

Its a fact that the WT as an Associate NGO did contribute just like those 16 NGOs of the Catholic faith shown in the 1976 WT article. In fact an November 22, 1998 article is in the library run by the UN's Human Rights organization. Keep reading in the 1976 article where it talks to having "any relationship" with the UN is wrong.

Also lets see what good old hect said as just one example:

    From W91:
"A recent book gives an idea when it states: “No less than twenty-four Catholic organizations are represented at the UN. Several of the world’s religious leaders have visited the international organization. Most memorable were the visits of His Holiness Pope Paul VI during the General Assembly in 1965 and of Pope John Paul II in 1979. Many religions have special invocations, prayers, hymns and services for the United Nations. The most important examples are those of the Catholic, the Unitarian-Universalist, the Baptist and the Bahai faiths.”"

    Have JW's done this? No!

Hector is right that as a "whole" the JWs have not likely done ALL of what is in paragraph 11 of the June 1, 1991 WT.

But and a big but, the WTS is saying that these are all examples of false religion getting into bed with the beast. Just to do one them is paramount to doing the exact same thing as what Christendom has done. There is no special "out" in this paragraph to do just one or two of the cited examples. And of course we all know that the WT from 1992 to 2001 was an "associated NGO with the DPI just like those 24 Catholic organziations.

It is my opinion that Hector has provided misleading information. Shame on you.

DBeetle: do more harm to persons already suffering; to take sheep already skinned and thrown about and beat them some more....no empathy, no healing words. Just MORE judgement and MORE emotional BATTERING....this doctrinal debate around instead of healing and kindness.

Reply: You hawkites sound wimpy to me. For a minute I thought I was part of a woman's support group. C'mon...a real person is not defined by his misery. It is how you handle the bad stuff that determines what sort of person you are, crumbling under it only magnifies how weak you are. Are you going to fight the fine fight of the faith, or run away in surrender?
Oh, and Oprah is on at 5:00.

    Guess I've been labeled "unworthy".
    Boy, pretty judgemental.

Is a Jehovah's Witness ever humble enough to accept the truth?
or only their own manipulated version of it?

All you have shown concern about is the molesters. 'How many ARE there really?' You have shown no concern for the victims RIGHT NOW who are documented and in court RIGHT NOW seeking justice.

Your sad attempts to divert the issue away from the victims has gone on long enough. The fact that you can enlist the assistance of reputable members of this board in your scheme has not gone unnoticed; they know who they are and I expect that when they realize how they have been led astray by you, they will turn around and get the attention diverted back to the victims where it belongs.

We cans top obsessing over molesters and molesters and molesters and molesters (both you and these other board members) and get back to the victims where our attention SHOULD be and where we can do the most good NOW.

Honest questions are okay. Honest exchange of ideas and thoughts and feelings are okay.

But this going around in circles and circles and circles about WATCHTOWER policy and WATCHTOWER molesters over and over in the same thread is playing right into a troll's hands.

What I've seen in these threads in the last week is verbal diarrhea specifically aimed at wasting our two threads and thirty-five posts on useless wrangling over Watchtower polices that exist on HUNDREDS of posts and many threads ALREADY, with whole webpagesalready devoted to it.

We are not dealing with VICTIMS. Survivors of BEATINGS AND RAPES. SURVIVORS WHO WERE EXPELLED AND SHUNNED.

Well, screw these molesters screw their supporters, your diversionary tactics aren't going to work anymore. I can sleep by this computer if I have to keep these trolls and Watchtower from accoplishing its diversionary goals.

    THE WAR IS ON.

    Ok lets go.
I am a potential convert you know.
I want to know what YOU believe.
I have asked you many questions but you have ignored every one.
Why do all JWs I have ever asked a question of always run away?
    (same questions too)
Are you strong enough in the faith to stand up to tough questions?
Are you humble enough to accept a fact when it is a fact?
Are you married to the truth[tm] instead of the TRUTH?

I realize Dr. Phil is on today and personal therapy is quite a help so if you don't reply right away I'll understand, but still expect some sort of truth to be in your challenge.

Well hawk, I am big enough to let you have the last word. You complain that only JW's think they are right, yet you will not allow any other opinion to counter yours. Only YOU are right, aren't you? Admittedly, the WTS should have used more foresight in some of their decision, but having access to public information is a far cry from the devotional admiration set forth by religious groups in the WT articles you esteem so greatly.Your need to believe otherwise belies your psychological dependence on this. After, this whole UN thing is yourt schtick, isn't it. This is how you have chosen to define yourself.
You all speaking of "healing", yet you will not allow the JW's to make corrective measuresn themselves. For you it is a courage to heal, for us it is deemed a sign of God's disapproval. How does that look if we turn things around?

Guess what folks, we are going to continue to make mistakes, we leave claims of infallibility for the pope. All in all, we are going to continue to shine better than other faiths, in all areas.

    Part 2:
    Ok lets go.
I am a potential convert you know.

Reply: No you're not, you wouldn't be here otherwise.

Reply: Big build up...and then *nothing.* Or was that last one THE question.
Sir, whatever I believe can be supported by the Bible. That's is what it comes down to, does it not?

Actually hector my main speciality is dealing with the blood doctrine.

You again have misquoted what is in your own doctrine. At least you have managed to admit that "the WT should have used more foresight in some of their decision" - Yup. But they should not be bashing other religions either for doing the exact same thing as what they did.

No you're not, you wouldn't be here otherwise.

    So, Why are you here?
hope you are harvesting new light.

I have asked you many questions in this thread.

Using just the bible as truth, who is your mediator?
Just who, no explanation is necessary.

    thanking you in advance.
