Well, I have had my morning coffee and I have enjoyed the morning on this board, but my friends, I actually do have a life outside of Watchtower, JW's and eJW's and this cool board. I am invited to a BBQ with my "new friends" who don't judge me against their own pathetic spirituality. This is something I have delightfully discovered since being away from the Borg. I just want to share one last thing before I enjoy this beautiful weather. After I began not associating at the KH, I started taking up interests I had put off for so many years that gave me no time in the WT. I started taking English Equestrian lessons 5 years ago. I have since progressed, can you believe, to riding and jumping and showing in Equestrian events. My hubby bought me my first horse, a quarter horse Palomino I named Moonlight, and we also bought a thorougbred baby 2 years ago, who is my daughter's horse. I am also leasing a beautiful warmblood Hanoverian dressage,jumper, and I tell you I have had so much joy come my way over the years after walking away. There is so many wonderful things to do and enjoy and now when I go out to the stable and see the many horses and thier babies, and look into their beautiful eyes, it's as if looking into you own soul. I will be with my new friends whom God has led me to meet, and share happy times and have upbuilding conversations other that who did what at the meeting blah blah blah.... Anyway, all have a wonderful day today.

Barbara (and family),

I feel for the pain you and your family have endured and are continuing to experience. Hang in there. I'm blown away by your insight into the "real" picture here, and how clearly you see the Watchtower Society for what it really is.

You have done the right thing, and continue to do right and good.

Like many others here, I hope that press coverage of your family's situation and that of others will be help sincere, concientious, but sadly mis-guided Witnesses to see that they've been misled by "the organization". An organization that we trusted so completely and so faithfully that we feel torn in pieces when we finally see it for what it really is. The Watchtower Society is guilty of betrayal, hipocrisy, half-truths, lies, and other smelly characteristics, which of course it itself proclaims to abhor, and condemns other religous organizations for.

Most of us here have experienced the pain of losing "friends" as you have. May I add my voice to those that are reminding you that it will get better, and as the scripture says: "better is the end of a matter than the beginning".

I have been thinking since yesterday after reading your post, trying to let your, and your family's unfortunate experiences sink in and to try and respond to it all. I just can't seem to find the right words or express my personal gratitude for your courage. The empathy of others here and the truly heartfelt symapthy they feel is what I feel for what you all your family have had to endure.

Hello Barbara,

You have been used in a wonderful way. I know it is difficult. You have much to contend with and have for a long time now. But you are brave to come forward and to even make public the things that are going on with your family. It's never easy to discuss the things you've been discussing. I remember when I first learned about the grand exit that Ray Franz and others at that time made from the WTS and I asked my parents (who are still in JWs) about it. They didn't know anything about it except that it happened, a "cleansing" of the organization. It was a grand coverup for the WTS.

You have made it so that any person who wants to know the truth can know the truth about this terrible plight. That's very commendable. It's also very brave.

I was reading last night about William Tyndale who made the first Bible in English to be printed on a press and how he went against the Church (so very powerful at that time) in doing so, and he was hanged and his body burned. Near the end before he was killed, he wanted to send a message to England, and was refused. You remind me of this man. Walking through the fire for your faith is not easy. You are in grand company, however, with our Lord and Saviour who also endured through accusation and even death. I'm glad that these days these religions cannot burn people and kill them on crosses and I'm glad that isn't going to happen to you. Yet you are every bit as brave as these and many others, like Stephen in the Bible.

Thank you for standing up for truth and righteousness. Thank you for being such a wonderful example. I hope your life from here on out is happy and joyous and that you never have to face this kind of problem again in your life.

The so called "brothers and sisters" that have infected this discussion group, far from bringing objective opinion to the site, have made me more determined to get out. Their bigotry has spelt it out to me very clearly, so I guess I must thank them.

This will take time to filter through to the local Kingdom Hall in smalltown USA or Europe or Australia. But it will get through. We shall see.

Barbara;love to you all and thankyou.I ,too,find something especially comforting in the gentlness and strength of horses,they blow away any negative thoughts and make me feel so alive;and when they return your love it's incredibly healing and very powerful-perhaps they're food at the proper time?!-stay happy XX
