Here's some things to say:
Paul shows that not every Christian would actively evangelise.
Ephesians 4:11-12 "And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelizers, some as shepherds and teachers, with a view to the readjustment of the holy ones, for ministerial work, for the building up of the body of the Christ ..."
Mark 13:10 simply says "Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first." It does not dictate how this is to be done. Though the house to house work is an acceptable way to preach, it is never indicated scripturally as a sign of who God's followers would be.
There are 3 billion Christians globally. All religions proselytise and many religions have active missionary programs. Most Christion religions preach about the kingdom of God, the message of the Bible and about Jesus. They do what Matthew 28:19 says:
"… baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,. . ."
They just don't do it the exact way that Watchtower does, and no scripture says they have to.
