Field service before the memorial should be a fairly easy gig. You are supposed to drop off the fliers and move on. No stoppy chatty.

P.S. Count your time here. Easy time.

Of course the elders change the subject. You are not supposed to know about their policy regarding sexual offenders.

But probably the society has more control of a molestor that is still inside the congregation than outside it.

Furthermore, if they should DF him, that would be an indication that he is guilty, and then there would be a risk that some people wold like to report it to the authorities, and that will bring "reproach on the congregation and on Jehovahs name"

So they prefere DF'ing teenagers that partied a bit wild and maybe smoked a ciggarette. It is ridiculous, but true.

A predatory JW paedophile Micheal Porter (UK) who has a 15 year record of abuse including the rape of his own baby but somehow evaded jail now is a member of my old congregation;Wimbledon. Words fail me, to think of the years of shunning that these idiots have heaped upon me even by my own family and this piece of shit was seen a this years memorial laughing and joking with the congregation. Strange that this news story slipped passed me when it was broadcast by the British media in 2007......JookBeard

That was the OP from this Thread..

If the elders knew he was on here, he wouldn't be taking the group into field service for long.

I heard that some pioneers down here are going to nursing homes and daycare centers to read Watchtower publications to the grannies and toddlers.

Of course, the caregivers and caretakers are only too happy to allow this!

    Gives them a break.

    Tee hee hee.

There are people here of all sorts, but only a handful of JWs heart-and-mind. Most who are here are JW in name only, feel trapped within, because if they leave they will lose their families. So they may still attend, even do some door-to-door. Some may even be ministerial servants or elders. Most are here for mutual support because of the shunning policy.

Myself, I faded from the organization a few years ago and became a Christian. For more info see: www.JWlove.org

Things aren't what they seem in that the Watchtower caricature of an "apostate" (which is simply a person who leaves the religion they are in) is tantamount to hate speech. "Apostates" are not the monsters that they are made out to be. If one does an honest study of the history of the Watchtower and its teachings, they aren't what they seem to be either. There are things you aren't being told.

There are two sides to every story. As Nicodemus said, "Our Law does not judge a man unless it first hears from him and knows what he is doing, does it?"

I encourage you to look into matters like 607 BC, the UN NGO scandal, teachings such as where the Great Crowd serve, whether early Christians went door-to-door and so forth. Look into mind control techinques and the BITE model. Look into the teachings of the Organization in 1919, for it is taught that it was on the basis of the spiritual food at that time, that Jesus selected them among everyone else. Was it truly the food at the proper time? Was it faithful and discreet? Read the Finished Mystery.

When Rutherford said in 1919, "Millions now living will never die!" what did he mean? Where are those millions? What was he teaching about 1925? Look into Beth Sarim. Look at what the publications in the late 60's and early 70's said about 1975. Look at the Generation teaching up until 1995.

There is simply much you haven't been told. And what history you've heard of this has, unfortunately, been whitewashed.
