Snow,
No one cared about your first say on the matter, much less your final one. You believe what you wish regardless of the facts. Close your mind. Keep it closed.

The Bible Belt was home at one time to most African-Americans. - snow
They are returning in droves. Must be some good here. - snow
I assert most unhesitatingly, that the religion of the South is a mere covering for the most horrid crimes-- a justifier of the most appalling barbarity, a sanctifier of the most hateful frauds, and a dark shelter under which the darkest, foulest, grossest, and most infernal deeds of slaveholders find the strongest protection. Where I to be again reduced to the chains of slavery, next to that enslavement, I should regard being the slave of a religious master the greatest calamity that could befall me...I...hate the corrupt, slaveholding, women-whipping, cradle-plundering, partial and hypocritical Christianity of this land.
[Frederick Douglass, "After the Escape"]
We have men sold to build churches, women sold to support the gospel, and babes sold to purchase Bibles for the poor heathen, all for the glory of God and the good of souls. The slave auctioneer's bell and the church-going bell chime in with each other, and the bitter cries of the heart-broken slave are drowned in the relgious shouts of his pious master. Revivals of religion and revivals in the slave trade go hand in hand.

The slightly annoying part of this is that Snow is a kinder gentler version of Rev. Tammy. The really annoying part of this is that she runs out of posts she posts so often. How many boring ass theist posts droning on and on about the same thing can one possibly post? Evidently a whole helluva lot. Adding nothing to any post other than the cyber Kingdom Hall post-Dub theist mantras, which apparently serves a huge purpose to most of the ex-Dubs on this site. And the really really annoying part of this is the cyber freaking Kingdom Hall this appears to be, where ex-JW and theist crap, I mean subjects, are discussed ad-nauseum. But the really, really, really annoying part of this is when they enter non-theist posts with the same mantras.
But this site is what it is. I'm the one with the problem it seems. I will stay with my 1.2 posts per day, trying to get the ex-Dubs to learn to think rationally and analytically, supporting gays and those who want to masturbate and welcoming new ones.

Its a worthy mission.
I view snowbird as rev. Tammy rolled in cornmeal and deep fried with a side of collards. Often times she uses good ole country girl humor to avoid reality and at first it was annoying. Now it is just sad
Cofty,
Just so you know (as if you didn't already). When you and Snare leave, I'm outta here.
Who's alive today to say how many years ago this or that happened? - Snowbird, page 1.
Now, you are offering that the great division of the continents occurred during the lifetime of the great, great, great grandson of Noah, Peleg "2247 BC to 2008 BC". That approximate timeline leads to other problems, which is probably why you did not want to be pinned down.
Moot point, as you are no longer interested in discussing this.
Interestingly, the Chinese people were not touched by Noah’s flood. They had a flourishing civilization at the supposed time of Noah’s flood.
Leave Snowbird alone, she's not shaken in her faith.
Personally, I believe the Genesis account is faulty but I believe it has a grain of truth in it.
I have considered other works and have come to the conclusion that "man", is older than the Biblical Adam and this poses all kinds of interesting scenarios and difficult questions.
I believe the scribes during the time of Babylonish captivity falsified the texts of the Old Testament and added to them, and these were later built on by the New Testament.
The real truth of the Bible may never be known.
