I think you and one or two others have made your point. Most have disagreed with you. Since this is a conscience/censorhip/freedom of expression issue, move on. You are free to do as you wish.

'Do you feel it is all right to teach lies and misrepresent God’s Word, but wrong to expose the error? Contrary to what some may think,it is not unkind and unloving to lay bare falsehood and corruption."---W 3/1/66, p. 132'

I don't need you to tell me to quit posting.

    Everything is a conscience matter.

It depends on what your objective is. It appears that your objective is to bully people off a thread.

I prefer to continue to post whether people like it or not.

There is nothing in the rules of this forum that says you need the approval of some "majority" of participants to continue the discussion.

This is kind of like inducing the practice of shunning. The reason I don't like JW's is that very tendency to bully people.

There are others that aren't posting and you don't know how they feel.

You display all the characteristics of an authoritarian personality. "It's my way or the highway".

Fortunately these forums aren't popularity contests.

To mock something there has to be in place some sort of standard which is deviated from.

To mock is to assert a standard above an instance of that standard's violation.

Mockery does not work if the standard is false.

The New Testament is very sensitive about ridicule and mockery when it perhaps should have a bit more confidence in its standards.

We defeat bad ideas by citing better instances.

Hypocricy is a form of theatrical presentation by which the words we speak and actions we take are false to who we really are.

Jehovah's Witnesses speak in unity because none are allowed to differ.

The standard of what is "true" has been tested many times by the WTS predictions.

It has always failed its OWN STANDARDS.

The Watch Tower Society is a mockery.

You can't kid a kidder--they are busy doing it themselves.

After reading the original question: Is it wrong to mock and ridicule the Watchtower Society? I would answer NO! It's not wrong.

But if you are trying to "sell" something any salesman knows that ridiculing the competitor will not generate a customer.

Leave it to a guy like Rutheford to think that "Religion is a snare and a racket" is the best approach.

The Watchtower is itself a mockery, since its premise or image was to give information of things to come for all humanity,

something that most of mankind could not or were not able to do.

Unfortunately it produced nothing but false information over its appearance and may have indulged in pretentious commercialized lies in promoting its

    published works.

    Scotoma,

You have made your point repeatedly, and few are agreeing with you. I think we all believe there should be limits and a bit of decorum, but unless you know exactly which words and phrases we can use, what is your point in beating on this? I think the level of ridicule and mocking is just about right. Some may want more, some less.

As I mentioned, a number of us referred to the WT as the Borg, jokingly, when I was in the Borg. I continue to use the term, like a lot of others, because it fits. And it's funny. Is that mock and ridicule? Or simply humor? But by all means, keep on beating this thread to death until you get your way - or one or two others agree with you. Will that make you feel better?

You have a control problem. Do you understand that we all do what we want on these forums within the parameters of the POSTING GUIDELINES.

We don't need YOUR permission to do what we are going to do. We don't need your permission to do something if it makes us feel better.

We all do things all the time because it makes us feel better. The people I enjoy being around don't tell me to move on. That's obnoxious and is hierchical dominance behavior.

You would have made a great elder or any other position where you can "dictate".

I think you are beating this thread to death - or at least trying to beat me in some way.

I don't submit to primitive dominance.

I've spent most of my life listening to JWs ridicule other religions... so...

Sometimes hyperbole must be used to penetrate the mental blocks of a JW mind. That can be Misconstrued as ridicule. Of course anyone who fears the truth will label all criticism ridicule.
