    ianao and larc:

Like MDS has said, how would you know what we have discussed privately in confidence? I think he was totally justified in his replies to you.

Please stop using me as a weapon to try and disprove what you cant. Its not working. You are only making yourselves look stupid. I dont want to fall out with people on here, but I dont appreciate what you are trying to do. I know you care, im grateful for that, but, your actions are not helping OK?

    Mornin Latte,

Your rantings are nothing to be appologizing for. They strike at the core of JW error.

Most all of the 'concepts'(not devine inspiration) of a parasdise earth, loving creator, pure and clean brotherhood, love of neighbor, et al....are each desirable. They had a drawing effect on people when CT Russell started preaching them in the late 1800's.

Instead of just sticking to Bible commentary on these positive things, Rutherford and those that followed.....expanded and defined talmud like rules; No Christmas, No Birthdays, No Blood, No No No....

Then to top it off, they were not satifisfied with pure charity of ones time and means to 'spread this good news'....they started to demand a quota of hours spent doing so, creating a hiearchy of self important men, to manage and account for recording the progress of every single individual 'publisher'.

To me it is this overt concern for monitoring each others outward (field service) appearance of godliness, that has created the atmosphere that you describe.

Take away all the record keeping, all the quotas, most of the unloving and judgementalisim, that pervades WTdom today....would fade away.

It is very sad that so many are duped into this mindset of 'works' as the only valid method of approaching their 'god'. So happy that their god is not mine anymore.

    Morning to you TW,

We have had some fun here the last couple of days! Glad you chimed in.

As to your question ****. Thinker took me to Outback Steak House for Valentines day last week. Does that qualify me for anything?****

Of course. This qualifies you and Thinker, to join the Aussie WannaBe (not Wallaby) Club. As a full member you must learn a few basics of communication with our new friends down under. Here goes:

    G'Day...Austrailian for 'Hi'

    Mate...more than just an aquaintance

Basturd...when so addressed feel priveleged a real sign of affection

Wanker...can be misinterpreted could go one way or another

Poofter...leaning a little to the feminine side

Bloody...when Englishman says this..it has no resemblance whatsoever to an Aussie saying so...Aussie's simply mean bloody. Has something to do with rugby or breaking out of prison or some Aussie founding father who shed a bit.

Shiela...a particularly comely Aussie female...who frequents the local pub.

The above represents your first lesson in Aussie communications. I reserve the right to deny I ever made these assertions

It's called chat history in the chat area.

I think he was totally justified in his replies to you.

Of course you would. You are a sick young man who can't think straight.

Please stop using me as a weapon to try and disprove what you cant.

You paranoia is unbecoming. No problem. It's hard to talk sympathetically (sp) to somone who is as indoctrinated as you.

    Its not working.

Your right. You won't listen to reason, and nothing can really be done from this computer keyboard anyway to make you get any help. If you want to waste away, it is your perrogotive. (sp?)

You are only making yourselves look stupid.

Another good point. Don't know about larc, but I would have been better off not to give a rat's petute about you anyway. Seems to have brought nothing but grief for me personally.

I dont want to fall out with people on here, but I dont appreciate what you are trying to do.

No you don't. You are sick, and possibly beyond help. It was foolish for me to have ever cared.

I know you care, im grateful for that, but, your actions are not helping OK?[/quote]

Fine. If you want to interpret sympathy for you as a knife in "his majesty's" back, than so be it. I will no longer be a part of your self-destruction.

OK you guys and dolls, back to the question "Who's to Blame?"

As you look back over 4 pages of posts, a common theme emerges.

I particularly liked the point about the parents. If the parents of young ones are still at the meetings, are they there in body but not in spirit? Good one. Thanks Danny Bear (koala in disguise?) but what's this about me being Bossy Ozzie? Fair dinkum mate, you've come the raw prawn with me on that one!

Ozzie (known to his friends as timid and shy)

    Ozzie,

***Fair dinkum mate, you've come the raw prawn with me on that one!***

Now I need some serious help...please translate.

As to Bossy Ozzie...I was trying to be poetic...so reached for the first thing that came to mind. Silly talk etc etc.

Think maybe this 'body and spirit' thing goes way deeper than we know?
Almost like zombies, they perform their theocratic duties, doing so out of fear. Can they even remotely think their children buy into this senario? I think children decern very early...it is all a big show...a production that everyone has an assinged part in. Young Jw men, realize this and start reaching out for more power and authority. Young jw women, have only one task...find as 'powerful' a mate as possible....and quickly...before he is gone.

Bankrupt from pure motivations, they perform, without true love or charity. It is to satisfy the insatiable Org....and keep their 'blood thirsty' god appeased.

It is enough to drive any half-way sane youngster...to escape for their lives!

    Go man go.

    Danny,

Or should I call you old timer? Don't worry about turning 60. I turned 60 in October, and I am still pretty fit yet. I still have hopes of visiting Aussieland. They really seem like a lively bunch. I like that. Of course, a group that starts out as a penal colony can't be all bad.

This thing about Witnesses and their "works". Goal setting is a good thing. Problem is when your only goal is to place literature and convert others, then much broader, more important, and less measurable goals go by the way side, such as love, mercy, forgiveness, and charity. Too bad.

    larc,

The Heresy thread was hilarious...you and thinker were on a roll. We need some new sermon's brother larc, our spirituality is at stake. Not to mention our pant/dress sizes. So please consider putting together a rivival meeting...soon. Being that you hold such a auspicious and grandiose title, would you please inform the other members of Tower Lean Governess of Bodies about this great need among the breathern? Say Ahemen brother.

***Problem is when your only goal is to place literature and convert others, then much broader, more important, and less measurable goals go by the way side, such as love, mercy, forgiveness, and charity***

Like most corporations today (save Japanese) the WTBS is more interested in counting profits (converts) than helping them with long term goals (coping with life as it really is). Maybe thats why JW's are finding it hard to win Japanese converts, they have always taken a long term approach to both business and cultural matters. Stop the presses and stop the madness, as another poster once pleaded.

Wasn't real thrilled when I attained 40...now that you say 60 ain't so bad....maybe I will give myself 10yrs to get there. Aussieland here we come, ready or not.

    Brother Danny,

I sure am glad you are a new member of the flock. I'll be getten a serman ready soon. I think my subject will be, "Climbing the Great Pyramid Can Help You Lose Weight." I will, again, be drawing heavily on the book of Hominominies. Also, I have a couple ideas for the next issue of the Asleep magazine:

Show Christian Love, By Not Participating In Drive - By Shootings.

Share Your Daily Baptism With A Friend In A Hot Tub - Both Fun and Spiritual.
