Suffice it to say, A_Rev that at your age I was a considerably more active JW than you.

That said, read up on the org. FROM ALL SOURCES. If it's lies, then it'll be obvious. If not, then you have some thinking to do....
So, if your dad really IS an elder, ask him:
Why was the Watchtower a member of the UN for most of the 90s?
Why did the Watchtower backtrack on the 'generation prophecy' (RE: that those who witnesses the events of 1914 would be alive when Armegeddon came)?
Why does the Watchtower rely on 607 BCE as the foundation of 'the Lords's return' in 1914, when it knows full well Jerusalem DID NOT fall in 607?
Why has the Society started to back off on the blood issue? (did you get a blood card this year? Have you read the new 'Worship' book released at this years convention and compared it to the old 'Worship' book?)
One final question: WHY does the Society maintain a database of known pedophiles in the org AND NOT TURN IT OVER TO THE POLICE?!?!?

i regularly go on the ministry for 10 hours + per month and attend every meeting
anyway i dont need to be told i need to do more
but it doesnt mean i dont try and thats the main thing

Hi Mark, and welcome to the board.
You must realize, many people here have been victims of exactly this sort of treatment, and the policies of the Society have caused so much damage that it is almost unbelievable. You must now choose whether to believe in what your superiours tell you, or the FACTS. I trust that you will do your own research - you are still young and inquiring.
I was a baptized publisher once too, Mark, so I know exactly how you feel. The best you can do right now is to check the things that are being given to you every Sunday in the Watchtower Study, and realize that you are not allowed to question what you are taught.
A_Rev...then you better make time to mow the Kingdom Hall lawn lotsa times.. after an upstanding soon to be JW wouldn't want TALKING to APOSTATES to soil his conscience...now go find an elder and admit to doing that! See what treatment you get! The person Ray Franz, who wrote most of your precious Aid Book, and progenitor of many of your publications found out as well..

And, no, I wasn't baptised until 2 days after my 17th birthday - but I did put in pioneer hours over the summer months and regular auxilary pioneered back when the hour requirement meant something - these kids these days have it easy! (I'm 23)

i have questioned many a time things i am taught and so far have never recieved a bad/strange answer
i feel i am close to god and if you dont want to be fine! i dont mind
obviously i do but i can see you all feel strongly about things
