People who threaten legal action like some people say "pass the butter, luv" can't be taken seriously.

I wonder how his publicly announced phone conversation w simon went. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=37744&site=3

Why are Celtic and Adele upset?
Adele is supposedely upset because of what celtic told her while they were smoking cigarettes, and at other times. It seems his threat of legal action didn't put some of us in line, so now he has a lady, supposedly righteously angry, coming to do it for him.

"I am withdrawing my support for Bill Bowen on the basis of a very rude email I received from him in response to a perfectly respectable and polite request made to him"
Ah so your saying you don't really care about the children, who cares whatever kind of beef you have with Bill, did it ever occur to you, that maybe you came across as being an ass? Or there was some kind of mis-communication, so you have a beef with one guy in a big movement, this isn't about protecting Bill, this is about protecting children, and if you can't support that, then you can bite me. If you didn't want people to do this in the first place, then don't post to a forum that everyone can see, including the WTBS. I think everyone forgets this is a PUBLIC forum, you CAN'T prevent anyone from reading this, period, end of statement. And legal threats will just piss people off. However if you were a reasonable person, you would realize no media person would actually do a story about this, unless they had hard facts, and the family said it was ok. How many suicides have you read about in the papers with details about who the person was? I know I haven't read many. Now get a grip.

I think this has shown up one of the problems and drawbacks of online communication and how misunderstandings can occur and things can blow up out of proportion.
I suggest we leave it now and don't fall out over it.
It was good to talk to Mark again and I understand he was trying to help this young lady and it obviously hurting that he wasn't able to.
We've all said things we regret in the heat of the moment and felt differently when we've re-read things.

Celtic has threatened legal action against Simon for not deleting his account here. Any threat that involves lawyers coming from Mark Price is just overblown bullshit. It's just his way of trying to get attention.
I think it's great Celtic is withdrawing support for Bill Bowen. Who wants a bipolar fruitcake associated with a group that is trying to do good. What a wanker.

I also think too many people are making too much of this whole thing, possibly because of the opinions that he has expressed in the past about Americans.

Well, perhaps the thing here is not to use the F word but it's okay to gratuitiously threaten people with legal action. Well, at least we'll keep our language clean while we're threatening to drag each other to court! LOL! (Yes, I'm kidding!)

Simon,
We've all said things we regret in the heat of the moment and felt differently when we've re-read things.
I agree with you and I hope that Mark sees it this way and apologizes to the Board for his threats. I am not normally given to tenacity on these issues Simon, as life is too short and I am too busy for them, but this type of reaction is not new to Mark. The last thing that posters to this Board need is to feel hindered in their participation of reported events by a person unable, or unwilling to accept the responsibility of their actions. Apologies cost nothing but pride.
I am not from the US, but I am from the Land of the Just is that means anything.
Kindest regards - HS
