This is quite a discrepancy!

Lots of very vague answers like "we have received lots of information since then" and "we do that different now", all without evidence or substance.
Amazing how the commission has picked up how the CO's letter to the branch was so sympathetic towards the abuser, even to the point of downgrading his offence from Loose Conduct to Repeated Uncleanness.

The commissioner's comments to him were pretty unambiguous. "The process [ie the judicial committee] inflicted further trauma." And then the question of whether compensation would be appropriate to help pay for medical treatment which Jackson would rather have left in the realms of having scriptures read to people.
Pretty disgraceful really that he couldn't summon up any empathy for someone whose been through so much, or acknowledge that there wasn't a single thought given to her. To see it so openly exposed like that is still shocking even after so long out.

This last victim has a very extreme story. I'm waiting to see if/how any of the JW elders involved would justify their treatment of this victim if/when they're called to testify. -

Sheesh. It is appearing like every single JW elder suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Or maybe they have all had a lobotomy.
Their most common response is "I can't remember" or "I can't recall".
The elders are coming across as having no personal autonomy whatsoever because their next favorite response is "whatever the branch tells me to do".
The elders refuse to give their own opinion on anything or take responsibility for their actions. They continually shift the blame.
The judge looks disgusted with their responses.

I think this investigation has exposed the sham judicial system of the watchtower corporation like no other event to date I will not be surprised to see some criminal charges pressed against some of these top guys in the organization perhaps even some GBs after this investigation has been finished.
