I don't get it. How can people get so involved in these forums that posts like this are necessary? Maybe I'm "old-school" or something like that, but I just can't get emotionally involved with strangers with fake names on an internet forum. Who cares what people say about you? These are people that you most likely will never meet in your life, and wouldn't recognize if you passed them on the street.

I think this was a baiting. I think TH emailing in private was the correct thing to do. Isn't that
what we always say here? Don't start garbage in public, do it in private. Then when a guy
does so, it comes out here anyway, each and every time.The email doesn't seem so bad to me. Yes, it was abrasive, yes TH is abrasive. We've had it
out ourselves (TH and I), but I am understanding to the way he is.TH did nothing wrong here, and he should be allowed back in, NOW ... His email to Amazing
was not bad at all, he did what he was suppose to do, take the mess in private, and he gets
ostracized anyway. That in itself is a crime, and it's not a good example of how things are
suppose to work around here.I think Amazing was 100% in the wrong here, by bringing this into the public eye for one,
and then posting TH's real name and email address. No offense to Amazing, sometimes
people screw up, and I commend him for admitting his mistakes. I think TH was wronged
here...I think some people need to grow up around here and handle things on their own without the
whining and crying.I agree 100%, the problem is, TH, an Abuse Survivor, has been kicked off the board, and he
was the one wronged... He is an abrasive guy, but he's done nothing malicious. We're talking
about kicking a guy out because we don't like his personality, that's WRONG.I find it really hard to swallow that TH would have an easier time being accepted back at the

There is nothing but iron in your words here, RevMalk. Trauma's banning is nothing short of a tremendous miscarriage of justice, and if he isn't allowed back in, this will mark the lowest point in JW.com history that I have so far seen.
That being said, get well Jim. Take good care of yourself and come back soon. You've been an asset to the forum.
He was deactivated for good reason and I would remind you that it was not the first time he has been abusive to other forum members or to me. His conduct before and since does not tally at all with your description and he will not be coming back on here, now or ever.
I know it's not the first time you've had to say something to TH. I wasn't trying to imply that you weren't doing what you thought was right. I was merely giving my opinion on it. I know you've been patient. I disagree with the description I gave though. That description of TH is that he has a big heart, and he cares, and that's all true. I won't argue all this, don't worry, I've given my 2 cents worth on it. You know for a fact I don't agree with the personal attacks, or name calling. We went back and forth on this once before when it was happening to me. Of course I was told I was wrong, so I assumed those rules went for everyone.
edited to add: I did a search on the "F" word. There are at least 95 topics that contain the word. This is one of his 'offences', yet I see it constantly with no repercussions to others. Here are at least 95 people who have not been banned from the site. And you can't argue that he was being abusive to others in this instance, he was defending his name, and when accusations are made, all bets are off, you should have the right to defend yourself, no matter who you are.

You cannot play favorites. TH took it private and then when it was made public he reacted. Any one would. Amazing should not made this a DB issue period. End of story.

I like both posters - Amazing & Trauma Hound. I've disagreed with both, and enjoyed both men's posts, on occasion/occasions.
This is just a crappy situation all around. Both men handled it *slightly* tackily. I'm glad Amazing came forward with this post. Thanks, Amazing....you really are, ya know?

These discussion Boards are taken far too seriously on a personal level by far too many XJW's. The real world requires that you should see the white of the eyes before you see red but discussion Boards take a quantum leap away from this reality. My own sadness about these situations is how much valuable time can be wasted and how much misery can be generated by we XJW's who above all others should cherish the gift of free speech and not use it as a weapon to bully and brutalize people we hardly know.

Yo teejay. I have a question for you. How would you have handled this sequence of events?
I think I would have locked Amazing's thread before any of the mess got heated up. I think there should be a standard for the moderators to follow. Maybe something like if a post is inflamitory, vague, and meant to start with the flames, or bait someone, then it should be deleted and the thread locked. NO MATTER WHO STARTS IT..Especially if it can be caught early and difused. I know...where is the fine line and who has the ability to catch them early or be right all the time? Cath 22 indeed...especially for Si and the mods that help him provide our forum. Perhaps the thread wasn't locked because it was from Amazing AND/OR because it was about something untoward that TH might have done/some here would rather see him gone. ???? Both wrong reasons for letting harsh words be exchanged between good people. I've sassed TH and defended him too so this is not about taking sides. I've contributed to some flame wars even w/TH, sassed others, called people names on occassion, and gotten irritated when I shouldn't have. However, in all that I have never used my email or public account here to hurt anyone, nor have I registered multiple accounts to get in the last word or circumvent the rules or hurt people's feelings, even when my own were trashed..I'm wishing things were the way they were prior to the BB VS RF crap really. SL was rocking and we cheered. People like TH were organizing west coast SL activities and we cheered. More websites for XJWs were popping up and we cheered. All we worried about was the occassional troll or apologist...What happened to that? Just my 2 shillings. Oh, Amazing, I hope you're feeling better and your ticker is still keeping a Dub Sticks(TM) kinda beat... TH, I hope you are well, and that there can be some fix to this, a bad situation.
