I'm sure I heard that a high up in watchtower land described the gb as 'a concept' to some authority not too long ago - just can't recall the exact details, can you?
I thought that was Geoff Jackson at the Australia RC investigation into Child Sex Abuse.

Freethemasons it's not in that transcript but that's because it wasn't Jackson who changed the interpretation of the faithful slave, it was the lawyer representing the WT who said that, incidentally the lawyer was a woman.
The transcript is a very interesting read all the same! I particularly like the part where Jackson is squirming about them not having say in members families and the lawyer says, but you consider your organisation one big family?
Indeed, so their 'Brother and Sister' are just titles given to baptised JWs, not real heartfelt claims of familial love anf sense of belonging.

Yes, I noticed yesterday when I did a "FindOnPage" search, the word "concept" only came up once in that transcript.

Jackson is such a weasel in those transcripts. So much for being brave in the face of persecution. JWs in Malawi held fast through literal beatings and torture. This guy shrinks in his chair when asked a question.

I think this one comes into the calendar issue. But I heard that rumor this year about an overall plan to totally change things up in some number of years and they seem to be ramping it up to just a couple years.
With "overlapping generation" and so many other changes, it makes sense to get ahead of this soon. We are 110 years out from 1914.
When they change things so much and very few members leave, they must get a real kick out of that.
My prediction is that it will refer to the "sealed" Jewish Christians from the first and second centuries, including some gentiles, as it appears to indicate resurrection. Whereas the Great Crowd is depicted in terms of survival, coming out of a great tribulation, which would involve anyone confessing faith in Christ whose destiny is Paradise on earth.
