If this woman had accidentally hit the man with her car and then called the police and he still died, that would have been an accident. Leaving him wedged in her windshild to die slowly is murder....she lost her right to life when to took away his right to live.

Funny Realist YES I HAVE studied this aspect of abnormal psych quite alot.HMMM I have a friend that is a Psychiatrist that deals only with pedophiles you know WHAT she knows they CAN'T BE REHABILITATED. WOOOOO HOOOOO You and Ashikita have the right idea. As I said many times if my damn dog bit someone it would be put down, why? because one the animal shows a propensity to aggression common sense dictates that this will happen again. Once a human crosses the line to animalistic behavior they therefore in my eyes lose their rights as a human. Act like a cold blooded heartless animal and pay the price. It would free our society from the peodphiles the are "cured" then get out and perpetrate again again.

assume from your statement that you are a psychologist so you should know from studies in molecular biology and neuroscience that such a thing as free will does not exist. we are highly complex biorobots and in case of offenders there "simply" are some parameters set in the wrong way. for whatever reason the neuronal networks do not work in a normal way in such individuals. hence they should be viewed as ill not as evil.
Funny my psych teacher did her entire graduate degree in a ward with schizophrenics. Even she knows there is a difference between a psychological condition and evil. Yes, the brain is a complex, and wonderous organ. But there is more to the brain them even science or psychiatrists know. There are many, many questions. You can make the excuse of illness all you want. But there are those that there is no brain injury or difference in the brain but they are killers.

by allowing violent criminals to continue to exist after they have taken callously taken anothers life it would appear to me anyway that you care more for them than the person who lost their life....and their families who lost the years they could have had with them...and society that lost whatever this innocent person may have contributed to society... Personally I am more a advocate of justice than mercy for someone who willingly takes anothers life.

Realist: Well, lost my last post. Basically in a nutshell. What I am saying is your are not a humanist. You work on a very small part of what makes us human. You prefer to reduce everything down to an illness or not. This is not reality anymore than you blaming it on demons. Therefore there is no need to discuss it. When you are willing to go and tour a morgue and talk to victims and look at some autopsy photos. But, hopefully them you would see where your course of action leaves vicitms victimized again and again. "Evil prevails when good men choose to do nothing."
Xena: I agree she was not even sorry only sorry she got caught. Her flippant attitude while on bail was proof enough. I just wish she wasn't going to Club Med. But a real prison but we don't really have those in this country.
