Listen old crow, asking me for a picture is rather beside the point! Please go back and read the title of the thread. When it sinks in and if you have a point you want to make then feel free to do so.

I don't necessarily consider myself a feminist. . or maybe I do. I still think that your words are stemming from your very limited view of things. As you walk down the street and see many beautiful women, how do you know that they aren't feminists?

Lumping people into categories is a ridiculous thing to do. I hate to bring this up, but I would expect you as a Black man would be more careful about this behavior. Also, I think that there are a rising number of Black feminists because Black men aren't stepping up. We outnumber them in college 3 to 1. And do you think that most of these feminist women are ugly and dykey? I don't.

    Realist-

I could graduate right now with a degree in psychology, but I am choosing to continue my schooling in Forensic Science (PhD). I have been called "beautiful" a couple of times in my life. I realize that your words were not saying that ALL women in science fields are ugly, but I took offense nevertheless.

As a scientist (first), a feminist (second) and a student at a women's college, I am around many beautiful scientists and even more beautiful feminists. Perhaps you have a different idea of beauty than I do.

Instead of using the word "feminist" or "feminism" perhaps you should use "sexist" or "sexism" because there is nothing wrong with feminism. In fact, to be feminist is to be beautiful.

    Merc,

I have found that SOME men will call women dikey or unattractice AFTER that woman rejected them.

I have also found that SOME men call women "feminists" as though it is a negative thing, because that woman has accomplished something they have not.

I have found that SOME men call women bitches if the woman is strong, intelligent, and unafraid to speak her mind.

I have also found that ANYONE who groups an entire group of people ( or even "most" of a group) with one label is BIASED.

I am an attractive, intelligent woman, who has a very well paying job, a VERY good looking husband (who happens to make less money than I do), and who is sometimes called a bitch when I don't kiss some unibrow man's ass. Go figure.

Okay, this shows that you haven't really understood what I said, go back and read it again! Notice I said: Most, not all "most" of the feminists that I have met are either ugly, dykey or both.

When I walk down the street I'm not thinking about who's a feminist or not, stinky that ridiculous. Otherwise you sound like the one with the limited viewpoint since by your own admission you don't even know whether you’re a feminists or not. After all you could be an exception to the rule. You already know what I think of your physical appearance anyway. Maybe you deleted the PM I sent to you a few months back. Go back and read it!

Again, I'm not talking about people that you know and that you go to college with. I said people that I have met. People that I know. I didn't say; "Stinky pantz is a feminists" I haven't called anyone on this board a feminists and I don't know you well enough to say that one way or the other, which of course would be beside the point anyway. It's simply been my experince that most of the beautiful ones don't seem to have that much anger like some of the less attractive ones I have seen. Nor do they seem too be looking behind every nook and cranny to find fault with men, like a few I have noticed on this site!

I understand what you are saying . But do you think that most feminists are ugly or dykey, based on your experience? I hope that you do not use only your experience to make this generalizations. Why? Because this is where bias comes up. Would you respect me if I asked "Ever met a hard-working Black man?" Because it has been my experience that most Black men are lazy." Would you be okay with someone saying that BS?!

Editted to add: Many of the women (I don't know what they all look like) that have responded to your thread are physically beautiful and not angry, so has that at least altered your view a little?

Well, your experience(s) is all that matters right? Or should you take into account other's experiences? I, for one, do not allow myself to be narrowed by my own experiences; this is detremental to personal growth imho.

    Stinky have you no shame?

Alas, I would! Simply put its "your perception". Like I said on another thread everyone is entitled to thier opinion. Otherwise I could care less what you think about every other black man, white , or mexican. But, is a free world babe have at it.

    Btw how's florida?
