Well if the dubs are allowed to come knocking on your door with the deliberate intent of recruiting you into their cult using their deceptive information and creepy emotional manipulation tricks, and their calculated, carefully orchestrated "lovebombing" ....
I have no problem with sucking innocent dubs into looking at this place with a misleading title or two. What goes around comes around.
On Yahoo, this site is listed as a Forum for Jehovah's Witnesses, Simon has the right to call his board what he chooses but then again NG should be able to complain about it.
As for whining, we have a famous poster who himself has called many here whiners, but I shall refrain from writing his name lest I call up his spirit.
One last thing, are JWs expected to roll over and expose their bellies here or else be branded trolls? She objects to many things, so do we. What's the big deal?

I don't whine, and certainly not pathetic. I have taken what I learned in the WTS and made it a positive. I now know how not to raise my kids, how not to treat friends, and how not to succeed in business. I take what they say to do, and do the opposite.
Now I have great kids, wonderful friends, a great ex witness wife, and several businesses. I am happy and excited about life.
The fact is however, this is a place we can all talk about our feelings, what happened, maybe what is currently going on. And I think that is great.
Anyone who cannot handle a place where we can all chat about everything, can simply leave.

Hi Northern Girl,
When you posted a few days back asking for info with regard to your possible reinstatement, there were folks here who took time to provide helpful information. As a result, I don't think it's fair to lump everyone here together into some broad category.
While it's true that some others were not exactly encouraging you to return, I thought that the thread was very fair. Perhpas some things have been said in the meantime that may have bothered you, I don't know, but again, I'm just commenting on that one thread and also basing my comments on my considerable experience with the jw religion. There are some real concerns about that religion and it's done some real harm to many people. I think it's only right that such persons have a forum in which to discuss such experiences and begin a process of healing. As far as the name goes, well, this is a forum for discussion of things pertaining to the jw relgion, so I'm not sure what else one could call it.
Oh man. Northern girl is back to her whining again. Every post she makes is some whining about this or that, that she doesn't like.

You are right, I did get some help for my question for elders on my own posting.
The other day I had a 'dust up' on another posting about the JWs getting people 'in' and keeping them there ... jgnats posting ... that is where the 'whiner' got that quote of mine, not from the posting you are refering to.
I appreciate the help I got and said so but in case someone missed it I will officially thank all those ex elders again. And thank you for being respectful to me.
