If this letter is a hoax, why not come out and actually SAY what he did to the 8 yr old girl? Like........"we made love - it was consensual." That's what the guy's referring to - mutual emotion. lol - says a lot about his emotional maturity, eh?
In August I went to the elders to confess that I had become sexually involved with a worldly family's daughter through contact with one of my studies.
They were under no moral obligation to do so because it was not a case of rape or coercion.
Second reason is that although I committed an act of gross immorality, I did not do anything deserving of imprisonment.
His side-stepping is remarkable. He actually says little. He sways and moves, backtracks, throws blame on everyone but himself.
If this is a hoax, please realize............this is how a pedophile's mind works. At least what I've known and read. They know. They take no sincere blame. They blame everyone else. They really don't hurt the child. The child wanted it - and still does. They stay silent to protect the child.
This is why when one meets or remembers a true pedophile, - a human is staring at an alien. How does one communicate? They cannot comprehend each other.
The elders I've known take the stance that they have nothing to do with the world outside. The girl is the world's problem - so is her mother. It's not th elders' responsiblity to inform the world - hell, they don't inform their own congregation.

Btw, there was a little girl (5 yrs old) who was baptized in our hall. She had been previously molested by her father (not raped). The elders & CO paraded her around like a little saint. By the time she was in mid teens, she was df'd. Married at 17 to a "worldly man."
Another btw, her mother remarried a MS here, and he proceeded to molest her youngest daughter. And who says we don't marry back into what we know.
