    tink....I loved Susperia.

This movie still scares me today. I've seen The Exorcist. I saw the Ring, 28 Days Later, all the Hellraisers. Prince of Darkness. I'm a horror fan.

But, this movie had things that gave me chills. And like, drwtsn, that's hard to do.

You can check it out here. In case you want to rent it, It's really good.

The Shining was my fave......that part where he is chasing them in the snow had me standing on the back of the sofa.

What Dreams May Come (with Robin Williams) though not a scary movie was may favorite for giving a new prospective about death.

An old film which came out around the time of the Exorsist was "Don't Look Now" with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie. That one can still scare me. The first time I saw Alien I was so tense that my back and neck hurt for days after, but so many films took that equation afterwords that everyone is used to that suspense now. I used to be scared of House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price. The rope around the ankles, blood dropping from the ceiling, a skeleton rising from the acid ... those were "special effects" in their day.

For real Halloween fun Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein.

Other scary movies: The Thing is both scary suspence and mystery. I've seen it several times and never get tired of the story.

The Shining is scary but the remake (which corresponds to the book) is a bit more interesting. However, no one scares like Nicholson.

I thought the Ring was scarey, and Hellraiser

I liked the Ring...it made me jump a few times...

I'll admit it, the Blair Witch Project scared the poop out of me the first time I saw it. Heckle me all you want.

I want to see 28 Days...

I've never seen the Exorcist...I am too chicken.

And I am sorry y'all I love you but--THE SHINING IS NOT SCARY AT ALL!!

ChimChim...I wasn't into Scary Movie 2, (I did like the first one) but Scary Movie 3 did have me laughing pretty good...it's just so wrong! (I love dumb movies like that tho).

I have to say--I do really like this movie tho...

Maybe because it's so old...it just creeps me out.

It's kinda trippy to watch Shadow of the Vampire after you watch the orginal Nosferatu. I think that's why it creeps me out so much--not cuz it's true, just cuz it makes for a good story.

I'm with Joann.....the Shining is NOT scary, and the Nicholson version butchers the book. There is a version that was played on TV that Stephen King wrote the screenplay to, that is much scarier than the Movie version, and is much more faithful to the book.

The Ring FREAKED me out! I don't scare at movies that easy, and that thing had me leaving the room and peeking around the corners at the TV. It was just eerie. And the coming out of the TV thing....EEK!

Poltergeist is good....the only part that really scares me in it, is the clown doll coming alive in the closet. I still can't watch that. But, it's still a really good ghost movie.

The Exorcist and the Omen are kind-of cheezy, in my opinion.....

I think general blood and gore horror movies are more funny than scary. My friends and I used to watch them all the time at night, and just have a good laugh.

Movies that involve the supernatural are scary to me.
