It should be pointed out that one side effect of "signing up over there to stick up for someone" is that their goal of attracting more posters is acheived.
It's a cynical way to attract people - give them a reason to defend someone like Mulan, and thus inflate the statistics.
Since anyone attacking someone like Mulan is obviously not someone whose opinions carry any weight, I would suggest caution before riding for vengeance.
(((((((((Mulan))))))))) Those people who posted such things have a problem with themselves if they have to post about one of the kindest supporters among us. Perhaps jealousy on their part? It is obvious that they have never met you. It sounds like schoolkid mentality on their part

Phantom stranger makes a good point.. they just want you to go look; they want you to sign up. (well, some, not all..)
Don't even bother. Let the children play they're own games. Getting into a shouting match is not at all normal and not at all necessary. I think that we all have better things to do with our time than defend someone who is an absolute rock here, and is one of the kindest ppl around this board by a bunch of brats.

They've said some horrible things about a lot of JWD posters. Craig and me too, I can read what they say about us and it doesn't bother me cuz I know better and they haven't even got a clue about who we are and least about what we think.
It surprises me how much it hurts me to read the crap they say about others........gawd they really suck and they even suck at sucking!
Just don't let the bastards get you down Mulan those of us who have met you know it's all a bunch of lies and slander, it just hurts to read such things about the people I love.
It hurts me more that some people I care about even bother to post and be among the low life scumb sucking idiots over there. So go ahead you've got something else to plaster all over your crappy board, have fun kids!

Well, I just went over there again, to see if they said anything else hurtful and it has gotten worse. I'm done with them.
Just when I think I have a handle on myself, something like this happens to gnaw away at the old self esteem. I am trying to not let them get to me and wish I didn't care what they think. I am not going to post there again.
They have taken big hunks of this thread over there now. I hope they are having a fun time. I am going to go watch a movie with my grandson. I'm really fine.

My mother often used the expression, about people who were angry and boiling over with rage, "Let them stew in their own juices!" I think that's a very good idea.
Now, they can take this remark, paste it over there and have a go at me, too, but guess what? I won't look!

I am sorry that you have suffered so hurtfully from these vicious and spiteful comments.
Perhaps it would help to know that what is actually happening has little to do with you as a person, the way you look, the way that you care for your parents, or where you go on vacation. It all has to do with the settling of ancient agendas and you just happen to be caught in the crossfire, as are some others. Those who 'Trojan Horse' their agendas on the backs of the innocent are probably more pitiable than they would ever understand.
Unfortunately there is little left to do at this stage but to lick your wounds, but rest assured that many looking in on this travesty will not quickly forget what has happened here. One would hope that a sense of decency, coupled with the passage of time would elicit an apology, one can but hope.

So sorry you had to think about it for even one minute. Something I do about situations like that...I don't even go there and read what they have to say. I take away their POWER by refusing to read or hear it. If someone tries to email me or pm me with it, I tell them I'm not interested in hearing it. It's just like stopping gossipers in real life. If you take away their audience, you take away their power. Just my 2cents.
