Elsewhere and sns, you buy the hooks in a separate package, a little box, and they are hooks to hang the ornaments. You can buy gold, silver or plastic ones.
sns, I got mine at Target, they have loads at xmas time.
Oh and sns, your present is already on its way to my house. You won't get to peek cuz its already gift-wrapped!!!!!!
Ok.... so what is a flocked tree?
I found out is the sprayed kind.. you know they look like they have snow on them.
Did I get that right Sally? And yes.. I finally last night saw the hooks when I was looking at all the pretty ornaments.I couldn't see them but my bf said.. there they are, and there they were at the lowest shelf below all the ornaments...
Oh my what pretty ornaments. I was like a kid in a toy store for the first time!! It will take real discipline to make myself wait for the after xmas clearance to buy most of the xmas stuff.. I want to have fun buying now!!!
Oh.. and Sally.. don't worry.. I would never even peak!! I am big on waiting till the right moment for things.......but I know I will have to watch jack(theblacknight)...... he isn't as trustworthy!! I will hide his present! As far as yours.. I can't decide what to get!!! This is so much fun!!

A flocked tree is a happy tree!
flocked, flockĀ·ing, flocks
1. To stuff with waste wool or cotton.
2. To texture or pattern with pulverized wool or felt.
So, on a Christmas tree, they spray it heavily with something that makes your tree look like it has been snowed on. Some people like the tree to look like it has a 'dusting' of snow and some people like the tree to look like it has piles of snow on it, very heavy flocking.
If you use brightly colored ornaments, a white tree looks really pretty. Oh but some people have been known to have it flocked with blue, pink and green flocking, yuk!
As I have been out looking at the purchased 'fake' trees, I haven't noticed any of the NON green/ sprayed kind. Do they do that only to real ones? or has that gone out of fashion??
Well I went to purchase just one or two ornaments yesterday just to have a little fun... I was like a child in a toy store for the first time. I wanted this one.. oh.. and that one!.. oh but this one looks so well with those two.. and so on and so on... before I knew it I had a cart full.. all with the ice blue/ white/ and teal theme.. sooooo pretty.
It was kind of overwhelming though.. I don't understand how much to get like garlands.. etc.. and lights?? so many kinds to chose from.. I don't want to put too much on and have it look over done.. Help.. what does the perfect balanced tree look like??
~~Sassy~~
10 years ago I had lots of lovely ornaments like soapbells, silver clocks and so on.
Then I decided that I should be babtised .....
For a few years my ornaments were safely packed on the ceiling and nearly forgotten they were there ....and then my nephew came: Aunty Branda do you have still those tree-ornaments and lights ? ofcourse.
You can take everything, I am not using it anymore.......
Last year I begun to buy new ones, hanging in front of the window.... This year I think there will be a tree again.
Wish I could get my old ornaments back (got some for more then 30 years).
How stupid people (especially me) can be..
a perfect balanced tree is one that gets you and your friends/loved ones together for a tree trimming party that's what!
Sincerely,
