I dunno, although there is no unwritten rule, I can safely say, it's not a good idea to 'flame' our on-line Granny: Mouthy.

No flaming Mouthy: because I think the firestorm from others, may be just a tad too hot too handle.

    WE LOVE HER to pieces.

I am not a 'believer', but she treats EVERYONE the same.

She loves you unconditionally. If she were God, I'd be happy .

    XO, (to Mouthy)

I think some of you are getting Christianity confused with the same garbage you saw while you were dubs

In my experience all Christian churches are pretty much the same. I had a born again Christian friend give me a book a few weeks ago. As n open minded person I have being reading it and I am almost finished. In the book the main theme is as a Christian follower you must submit to God mpt out of wanting to love him but out of guilt and fear. Also it is saying for approval from God you must belong to his church and give monetary tithes. (It would be a cold day in hell before I give a nickel to any church) So it comes down to the we are right everyone elses wrong attitude. They may have different doctrines they follow but as far as I can see they are no better than the dubs.

As another book I have read said, "Instead of saying, I am a Christian be Christ like. Instead of saying I am a Buddhists, be Buddha like. Etc" I know I cannot change the world of hatred and intolerance but I can change the way I deal with people so it all starts with me. When the opportunity comes alone I will show good deeds of kindness to total strangers. No matter how small the kindness may be like letting a person to go in front of me in a line, it all starts with me. So I don't need a religion to make me a better human being.

    "No flaming Mouthy"

Razorblade, Hopefully you did not see my response to Grace as "flaming". Because it was not. I wouldn't want to see anyone "flame" Grace either. I like and respect her, and will not patronize her, but respond to her honestly and as an adult. j

    Here's what makes Chrstianity a catch 22.

Many modrern day christians such as those on this board, say that true christianity isn't the way it has been portrayed by other professing to be such. They say they are open in views, not judgemental of others, they say god is the judge and they cannot condemn others who are non-believers to a death sentence.

This idea, though it sounds good.......does not line up with jesus own supposed teaching, and non-believers who know a bit about the bible are aware of this.

Jesus clearly taught that it was ONLY through him could others have life. People had to CONFESS they believed in him. By eating his flesh, drinking his blood, could ones be forgiven. He is the door, and NOBODY gets to the father EXCEPT.....through him. One MUST be born again.

All of the above statements contradict what many christians say as to who will get life. To me........it says if you don't believe in Jesus.......your toast.....PERIOD! It is THIS message......that make ones bitter, who are not believers in christianity.

You are condemed....plain and simple. You are threatened in the same manner the Organisation threatens a witness..... "believe this way or die sucker.......even if you don't see it our way......you must believe our way or die".

Just thought I'd mention, although they are in the minority, there are a growing number of Christians who believe that everyone will eventually be saved by Jesus at some point, and not be condemned to hell for all eternity. They have arguements based off of the scriptures to support their beliefs as well.

I myself was a semi-Christian universalist for a while before I moved started studying mysticism.
