Metatron....Geographical advantages, abundant resources, early agricultural development, disease, natural disasters, trade routes, military successes, a million irreproducible contingencies have all converged to produce what we call progress of the Western world. By the time Europe turned Christian the mold was largely cast. The most progressive thinkers of history could easily be argued to have been the Pagan/Atheist Greeks, they invented Democracy not Christians. I'll again recommend the book, "Guns ,germs and Steel."
