Part ABD7501 - (Audio) K with Prof. Bohm in 1975: 1. Reality, Actuality, and Truth
What is the relationship between reality, actuality, and truth. Anything that thought thinks about is in the realm of reality. Reality has no effect on truth. The act of seeing is placing reality where it belongs. A rational, sane person -- one who does not distort -- is living in truth. (A series of twelve discussions were held during 1975, between Krishnamurti and David Bohm, which explored not only Krishnamurti's teachings but also aspects of Krishnamurti's life and whether an unconditioned life is possible for an ordinary human being. These discussions were recorded in audio only.)

I love honesty but I don't believe it's necessarily truth. Someone can be honest in telling you something, the way they perceive it, yet it may not be true!

I thought the borg's teachings were the 'truth', I had to, to be able to preach it to others. I was honest about it. Yet, when I experienced and witnessed lies, corruption and deception in it, I knew I could no longer preach what I discovered was a lie. It would have been dishonest of me, to myself and others.

One church may say their understanding of spiritual matters is more accurate than another. And they all have some elements of good and bad. So there is no 1 real 'truth' . But it's followers may be honest in their commitment to the organisation.

If the WTS had been honest when they made mistakes, and not so intent in vindicating their 'truth', resorting to lies, they may have had more respect and trust from it's members.

I've given up searching for 'truth' as such. I guess the 'truth' now to me is a personal thing, with my conscience directing me. Honesty is more important because the 'truth' can be twisted by clever, deceptive, cunning, dishonest people, especially if they have a hidden agenda........like the WTS!

And that's my truth, being honest

    Cheers, Bliss

Nope. Not searching. I'm done with organized religion. If God, or Jehovah God, doesn't like the person that I am, then I guess I will face the consequences.

I kinda like what shakespear , to thine own self be true. I don't think the truth is overrated. Scientists have spent billions of dollars and entire life times trying to find the truth about life on other planets and such .

Some wise men have said, 'Know thyself'. I think that's good advise, at least for a start. Once one knows oneself completely, would he/she go further?
