Why is it okay for them to lurk here, but not okay for other dubs to?

That's interesting. I just found out the other day Euphemism was "The Dan" of JWZone. So what the WTS fears is actually happening. People look on "apostate" sites and find out things that destroy their faith in the WTS. Inactive ones and already DFd or DAd ones getting together and bashing the WTS is to be expected, but to see people who were so into being a JW that they ran/admined/moderated JW sites and then slowly realized they were being duped is most exciting. Your experiences can help other dubs who are sincere but have doubts see that it isn't just the sex-crazed, demonized, paganistic haters of God who are leaving after learing the real truth about the "truth".

Really. And because he dared to think for himself and speak his mind outside of what is deemed acceptable by the "group" he is ostracized and kicked off the site.
If this had been during the mosiac law days, they would have stoned him to death. Without proof or direction from a higher source.

Yes, Dan actually assisted me at times for direction.. I'd prefer my name not be 'listed yet'.. not at daring as Dan yet.. although some privately have asked me..
I actually left for just being plain old tired of the BS as a witness. When I made that decision, I left those other boards. I have no interest in being at them.
When I was 'assigned' to read over here back when I was on the boards, I never once read things here that might have given me reason for doubts. I guess because of fear it might jump out and bite lol.. I only looked for threads that appeared to have titles that looked like ones having fun on the JW boards. If I ever opened one by mistake that was not one of those, I'd immediately close it, as if I might burn my hands in a fire! lol.. The brainwashing of how dangerous it was had done its job on me well..

But you know what touched me all at first, wasn't the threads about deep UN stuff.. about questioning the 'generation change', etc... it was the threads where you all talked about your scars.. your frustration and difficulty in life as a JW.. I could relate to that and then it hit me.. you all knew what you were talking about!.. Then I began to read the other stuff with an open mind.

Actually, no. And this is important for anyone here who is on a Witness board:
It is not the act of copy-pasting, but the act of requesting the images - simply viewing them - from this site, that discloses your IP as one who views this site.
What this means is that if someone who is a member of WW walks in one day and looks at a post here that contains image references from WW, she will have given herself away. Since you can't tell if a given thread contains image references from a Witness board without actually reading it, and since it's not reasonable to expect that such images will never be posted here, I guess the only thing you can do to keep your identity hidden would be to get an anonymous proxy, as Euph suggested.

Or run your own proxy at home and configure it to strip off the referrer tag. I recommend squid.
