Everything comes back too. Styles, that is. I saw a fashion expert say this on Oprah "If you wore it the first time, don't wear it now." I guess that means if you were young enough to wear it when it was "in" the first time, you are too old for it now. Seems pretty true too.

One new problem I am finding is pants that look good either standing or sitting. Being in a chair more often when I go out I am noticing this more.
I hear ya, Lee...this is one of the reasons I prefer to sew my own....I went to a design seminar back in the 80's and one of the "secrets" they showed us how to remedy in pants-making is the cut of the crotch to eliminate the silly drapes of wrinkles across our bottoms.....Instead of cutting a rounded curved seam in the crotch, they showed us it's better to cut it in a semi-squared curve to eliminate the wrinkles draped across the beam....and it's so much easier to get a good fit in the legs, too, cause I can pin the sides to fit and then sew 'em up right....

The neckline and the arm holes (on sleeveless tops) don't need to be that big!! I have an awful time finding tanks or sleeveless tops (I live in Phoenix, remember - we need sleeveless!) that don't show the whole side of my bra!
I agree completly! Or how about a strapless bra that is actually comfortable and supportive for us more "well endowed" women. Do they honestly think those tank tops with the built in bras hold up anything past a B cup?

LL; My Mom got her dress at a wedding store. It was very inexpensive and very flattering. She was a little heavy then so she chose a long plum colored dress. Me and fashion...hmmm I was one of the best dressed kids in school. Loved clothes, now I am more concerned about dressing so that I am ME, than anything. I am very picky about my shoes, I love the new styles but my Mother had bunions and hammer toes and I will not sacrafice my cute feet for fashion. I do what Nina does and instead of buying a size 7 shoe I wear a 71/2 or an 8 depending on the style. I am going to crochet a halter top for this summer I think I will do a soft purple or maybe a off-white

LOL, Mulan! You know what THAT means, dontcha? I remember hearing female relatives talking about designers "recycling" styles when I was a kid and thinking how OLLLLLLD they were to be still living when styles they'd worn when young popped onto the "fashion scene" again...

Me, either, Sheila! I buy the larger size to get some toe-wriggle room, too....Hey! Post a pic of that halter top when you finish it, chere! Do you follow a pattern or design your own?

I almost never wear dresses and skirts. Shorts and pants for me!

I'll never get to wear strapless...unless they come out with miniature anti-gravity units! I don't think the structural engineering to make a strapless bra that heavy is even possible yet.

Frannie: I am following a pattern after the first one I will probably alter it the next time. I would rather go braless then use a strapless...
