I know times have changed but am I alone in thinking having the bra straps clearly visible is not classy.

the sparkly dresses I posted are strapless.

I have a bustier to wear under them. I bought it for my wedding but in 48oC/100+oF there was no way I was going to put it on

I think the show thing will have to wait until I see if I get my new pair of orthotics (6th pair). If they come before we leave I will need ot go out and buy something when I get there.

If they don't get here I will use either the shoes I got married in (and sit the dances out) or a flat pair of very cushiony sandals (black to match my bag) - best I can do or have the patience for at the last minute

and your offer is really sweet but unless you have really big and wide and high arched feet I'm afraid they won't be much use. Maybe my father was right - buy the boxes and forget the shoes

I'll never get to wear strapless...unless they come out with miniature anti-gravity units! I don't think the structural engineering to make a strapless bra that heavy is even possible yet.

I know what you mean. It's kind of like wishing I could wear a bikini................some women just don't have the bodies for it. I always had trouble with strapless bras.............they kept dropping, if you know what I mean.

I was always very shortwaisted (when I had a waist) and some clothes looked really odd on me, like blouses tucked in. I really hated that, and always wore over blouses or tops that didn't tuck. Mom altered dresses to fit me, because the waists were in the wrong place (too low). My cousin was very long waisted, and I used to tell her that she got the midriff they left off on me. She hated being long waisted. I also had long legs, longer than hers, and she was 3 inches taller. Obviously we couldn't wear each others clothes.

I don't know if anyone here has seen the television show "CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM", but the main characters wife is an absolute fox for 30. I do mean absolute!

I saw her at an awards show and she had a dress on with horizontal stripes. IT MADE HER LOOK FAT!!!

She looked really really not that great... LOL! It was really horrible. I still can't get over it!

when I cross my arms in front so my breasts don't suddenly go "charismatic" on me in public

*laughs so hard she falls on the floor*

    OH MY GOD!

I have boobies that filled with holy spirit!! And here I thought it was fat.

Oh honey I can totally relate to this front clasping, horror of back clasping bras nonesense. Once the girls broke out of a front clasping prision, and I mean BROKE, I had to free-boob it the rest of the night, my bra ended up in the trash at the bar...lol!

However, Miss Eyegirl turned me on to the BEST BRA IN THE WORLD!

I now have clevage up to my chin, and oh so comfy! I can use them as a desk if I want, or a head rest for quick naps. IT ROCKS!

Jo how can you tell us that much without telling us who makes it - brand and item number required - color not necessary though

I almost never wear dresses and skirts. Shorts and pants for me!

Me, either, Leolaia! Seems I developed an aversion to skirts and dresses post-borganization....heh

    ROFL, Asleif!

Nope, Lee....definitely "trashy"....but then....so are the "thongs" worn above butt-huggers...LOL!

LOL, Lee! (faints at thoughts of wearing a bustier or "merry-widow" as I did when young) However, there are those new-fangled molded "cups" with only a clasp between to emphasize cleavage now that are being marketed recently.

OMG Frannie Hubby was waving those at me in the store the other day. I wasn't sure if I should let people know I was with him or grab them and put them on his head
