I wonder is that why they set up the Irish hedge funds. They know the Nations have signed an agreement with the UN recently, where they all have to fall in step with each other regarding future pandemics etc.

Whether they believe they'll be 'attacked' or simply legislated out of business, they've transferred all their dollars and real estate to foreign companies so they got a comfortable nest egg for themselves, whatever the future holds.

July 2013 Watchtower which says “In the larger fulfillment, the “standing” will occur when the United Nations (the modern-day “disgusting thing”) attacks Christendom (which is holy in the eyes of nominal Christians) and the rest of Babylon the Great. The same attack is described at Revelation 17:16-18. That event will be the beginning of the great tribulation.”

In 2018 they made this change,

Clarification: Conditions in unfaithful Jerusalem—such as idolatry and widespread corruption—remind us of Christendom, but we no longer refer to Christendom as the antitypical Jerusalem.

So, if the is the case what is the holy place/Jerusalem that the UN/DT is supposed to stand in/attack?

The guess work on the board is the same we did in private in the 90's.

My conclusion is that jw.org will do their strategy making for their own purpose to survive on long term.

Professor Richard Singelenberg, Utrecht University, wrote a long time ago that jw.org would transform to an "accepted" religious movement. Many changes in the years ahead gave proof to that.

So, people come and go, the society will survive like they did the 100+ years ahead.

    GORB & BETH SARIM:

Yes, the Witness religion will continue to reinvent itself just as it has been doing all along. Some fools will think it’s ‘new light’.

And you are right that people come and go. Imagine all the sacrifices people now and in the past have made?

I wonder what some of the die-hards there think about everything: last year’s changes especially the biggie about no longer counting hours/time slips, and now these two younger GB members? I wonder what the older JWs there really think about their religion?

All I know is that it was a happy day for me when I started my overdue ‘Fade’ from the JW religion all those years ago!
