I kinda get the point here . In order for one to have faith in God you must have faith that the bible is the inspired word of God . We are talking about a book that was written by ancient civilizations and we know all too well how many ways these people worshipped the Gods but then we have to accept that the bible is the only truth concerning the origins of man and and the purpose for human suffering . If you were an alien and you visited this planet you would think what a godless place this is because of the suffering and dying and the killing over political and religious philosophies .

The ancient jews were in a different situation then what christians are faced with today . When jesus arrived in Israel they witnessed all kinds of miracles but refused to believe . Jesus referred to his future followers as believing in faith alone .

Besides, doesn't 2 Thessabaddonians 3:2 say that faith is not a possesion of smart people

And of course 2 Thessabaddonians 6:9 says

'Verilly let it be said my mirth has overflowed, yea, unto the furthest extent of my keyboard, unto the mountainous region of my LCD, yea to the very four corners of my desk, as I had a mouthful of coffee when I read that you bastard.'

    Thanks, I liked that!

I heard, many years ago that you can distinguish a guy from a gal, by this very issue.

If that's the only way you can tell, well, then... actually, I'm lost for words...

I wonder if one of the gals might confirm if that rumour is true.

Oh, I've heard girls complain about (their own) toe hair, never seen one with toe hair though (probably because they remove it in seceret)

I've never actually got around to checking whether or not my beau has hair there.

What, no toe-sucking? Hell man, what are you meant to do with feet placed either side of your shoulders if it's not suck the toes? Have I been doing something wrong?

You're absolutely right; it's the use of a text that can cause problems.

Was that the experience of the Phillipian jailer? (Acts16)

Further, is the "Word of God" really just a book? (Heb 4)

    Gyles:On their "big" toe?
Maybe one of the gals would like to inform us whether or not they have to exfoliate that region of their anatomy?
    Enquiring minds want to know.

Given a choice between sucking a girl's big, little, or any other toe, and having a girl...
...ahem, well, you get the idea.

Actually the question came up as an item of trivia. At the end of WWII a disembodied leg was washed up on the shore. How did they identify the gender of the owner?

Well, asides from the fact women's legs look different? I guess by whether it was shaved or not...

Little toe-- nobody can force someone to believe the bible is the word of God and no one can prove it is . It's all a matter of faith . You have to prove it to yourself by applying the teachings of jesus christ and the apostles in your life . To many the bible is just a book of myths and legends from ancient times they won't even read it but already put it on the shelf and exspect God to prove it for them . The WTBTS thinks it's the only one that can understand it . Religionists often use it for control and manipulation . We even have a government that tries to morally justify it's actions thru it . The bible apparently tells different things to different people ,so we have the eternal question of what is truth ?

If this is Europe we're talking about, no...that's no help at all.

Sorry for the cheap shot - I just couldn't resist!!

Heathen:I agree, but that wasn't my point, with the quotations

Hyb:You may be confusing France with the rest of Europe...

That's as bad as some Europeans stereotyping all Americans as "fat yanks with a world domination complex"!

Little Toe--- Perhaps if you clarify as to what your point was .

Do we have any evidence that the Philipian jailer had faith in "the bible" (even the one of that day, far less the version we have today)?

Further, is the "Word of God" a book or a person?
I hear so many people saying that they put their faith in a book, rather than the person that the very book is supposed to be about.

That was all I was getting at. Sorry for being so obscure.
