Well, ya look at the JW publications, and funny enough, often Jesus and his apostles look like scandanavian/northern europeans. The Pharisees etc.have the stereotypical jewish look. Because of all the sensationalistic news coming from the Middle East, really important, pertinent and honest issues are virtually NEVER discussed.

Not included in this CJA list are the following:

After reading all of this, you also have to bear in mind that Israel is a country of just 6.7 million people, of which 5.4 million are Jewish, more than 1 million are Israeli Arabs, with the balance divided equally between Christians and Druze.
It is ABSOLUTELY essential to understand that EVERY Israeli, regardless of religion, culture, sex, national origin and language enjoy the same rights and freedoms accorded to Jewish Israelis.
And for the size of Israel; the time it takes to drive from the two furthest points in Israel is about the same time it takes to drive from Montreal to Toronto, and less time than it takes from San Francisco to LA.
At it's narrowest point, Israel is no more than 10 miles across.
Now, ask yourself: With all their oil wealth and huge populations, what has the Middle Eastern Arabs done for the world or for their own people?

a) why are the jews so successful? is it genetic superiority? is it their tradition? is it that they always help each other? other reasons?
b) why couldn't they adapt to the cultures of the countries they went to? is it something particularly positive to seperate yourself from the other? is it positive to view yourself as god's chosen people?
c) is it a good thing for the US to have an unproportional high number of jewish people in the gov? considering that these people might do what is best for the interest of the jewish people around the world instead of what is best for all americans? is there a correlation between the influence jewish people have on US politics media and commerce with the US support for israel? do jewish people have an unproportional influence on US politics, economy, media?

i have nothing against jewish people (have several jewish friends) and fully recognize their contribution to human society but i do see it as a problem if a small minority starts to rule the majority.

Sort of . Years of getting chased around and getting kicked out of various countries taught them how to make and save money. Also, because x-tians in the middle ages were'nt allowed to make loans with interest, one of the only jobs ALLOWED jews who were kept in ghettos was a lender. Then, these people, who did'nt want to pay interest would make laws, or kill tons of jews to avoid paying them back. Or kick them out of the country w/ nothing but the clothes on their backs. Ferdinand and Isabella were particularly heinous in this regard.

Usually. Two thousand years of getting the shit kicked out of you and getting shoved into ghettos, camps, etc. will make you help others out. Even Reform jews who did'nt get along with their orthodox brethren were instrumental in saving thousands from Russia.

Many of them have. But what do you really mean? Why don't they convert? Because it's their belief system. Their have been large Jewish communities in many countries who have similar looks and dress of that country. Their was a small community in China for centuries. Physically indecipherable from ethnic chinese. There is a great joke about that that I'll tell ya later. Many have been the best at adapting. Some of those, though, such as the ones in Germany are usually the first to get killed, as they see themselves as loyal citizens, and don't believe that it can happen to "them". The isolated ones are the ones to escape faster. The paranoid ones.

i agree to a certain degree. nevertheless, were the jews in germany still jews after several hundred years of living side by side. had they mixed with the rest of the population (as did all other immigrants) would they have been absorbed a long time ago. by isolating themselves (at least on the family/genetic/religious level) and playing an important role in key fields do they expose themselfs to jealousy and resentments.

as a matter of fact some populations are in terms of efficiency superior to others. it doesn't make them more or less worthy human beings though. the value of life is not dependant on how smart or hard working the person is - and certainly not on the average IQ and effectiveness of a population.
nevertheless there are obvious differences between population groups. these can be caused by various reasons. tradition, education, religion etc. and genetic reasons might as well paly a role in it (not proven and not disproven). in any case no human being can be valued based on his group (race is perhaps a too strong term imo) affiliation.
the discussion about jews as group came about (unfortunately) because richie tried to pull the old "we jews are a small, innocent group with only good intentions who are hated by the world" story which cannot survive a closer historic inspection. jews are not more or less victims than any other group and i see no reason why we have to tip toe around that.
