Come to think of it though, how many JWs go to the library?

JWs didn't have to go to the library since they were provided all the books and magazines they needed! However, the WTS can't use that excuse anymore because the internet is so easy to access, and it doesn't take much effort. Honestly, I'm surprised Libraries are still around.

The WTS could try working against the internet by putting out WT CDs with fully colored pictures, kingdom melodies, dramas, WT videos, but who's going to pay $50 (according to the WTS) for each CD Rom?

It is amazing that 6,000,000+ people buy this crap. In typical WTS fashion, the CO has taken a false statement (people exposing the

WTS for what it is are predators seeking to devour JW's), compared it to another circumstance (a spider spinning its' web), and suddenly it

must be true! As if we're supposed to think "Hey, a spider does spin a web to devour prey. Sometimes it does take a long time. What he

said about the internet must be true, too!"

The Society uses illustrations to divert people from their own natural reasoning into a "word picture". Once you switch over to the right

side of the brain to imagine the scene, they slam home a twisted idea. Very sneaky. They hit you while you are quite literally "out of your

    mind".

spider spins his web and it can take a very long time for the web to be made but just like that--- before you know it---it can catch its prey and devour it. It's the same with the world wide web, the internet

Oh good lord I can just imagine some pompous circuit overseer laying that turkey of an illustration on a cong.

    How I don't miss meetings!

He concluded by saying that Satan the Devil has used this tool so sucessfully that we must be alert to the dangers of the internet.......

Wow.........I'm so glad the CO mentioned this, as that's the last thing I'd ever want to do is to be tricked into fellowship with apostates!! Thank goodness I found this board of true JWs that are loyal to the Organization, rather than get caught in the web of "apostacy"!!!

To give him credit, he is right. If a JW stays away from the Internet, TV, the phone, letters and copy machines oh and Cosmo, then only reads WT and Awakes, goes to work, shuns worldly people; attends all 5 meetings; goes in service 1000 a year; avoids large gatherings and keeps a blindfold on...........well then, you will never be straying from JW's.

The idoit is actually right for once, it is a trap ,a trap so you have to see the reality of what the cult really is. All those spider webs of information ,one right after another and then the spider get's the curious fly to take notice and the fly escapes.

I too wonder if that CO was referring to e-watchman.

Hah, I read Visions of Glory at the library to! Pretty disappointed to tell you the truth, I didn't think it was very good.

This was simply a veiled attempt at stopping loyal Dubs and Dubettes from attending Apostofests.

In light of awesomely cool people like Valis and his ilk in Texas, I can only sympathize with this Circuit Overseer. If more Dubs were to meet the REAL Apostates, sheesh, the BOrganization wouldn't last very long

So COs are going around warning about the dangers of the Internet. Just like they warned about TV, then videos, R-rated movies, cell phones. If the Internet warnings are ignored just like the way JWs have ignored warnings about R-rated movies, videos and DVDs then the Watchtower Society is in trouble.

Does anyone remember a drama at a DC where some JW kids said they watched "certain" movies but it was OK because they fast-forwarded through the bad parts? What a joke, nobody I knew (me included) ever fast-forwarded through bad parts, they were the parts they made the movie watchable.
