Gee, Talesin! How frightening for the children in that family -- and also for you and your family for being so close to it all! You can count on my prayers!

It is better to light a candle, than curse the darkness. -- Mother Teresa
so am I to understand this is still going on talesin??? how stressful!!
No change as yet, peeps. I have stuff to do this afternoon. Will update you all when I return.
I love the quote from Mother Theresa, BigTex, and the candle. The silence, the stillness, from the end of the block is starting to get to me, and it was good to hear that!

My prayers and thoughts to those children!
By the way if he got the custody of children, why is he doing this?
The standoff continues ... police are in contact with 'someone' inside the home via phone.
For those of you who have been sending your prayers/energy, I wanted to update you. Sorry for the long silence.
Here's a summary of the background, for those wondering. The couple claims they are making a 'political stand'. But once I read the stories, and heard her telephone interview with a local newspaper, I fear even more for the child -- they are obviously very sick people.
Couple no strangers to child-custody fights
The Mother and Father have a long history of ignoring child-custody orders.
Mother first grabbed national headlines in October 2000, after she disappeared from her , Ont., home with her seven-year-old triplets, hiding them first in ___ before taking them to Mexico.
Authorities tracked her down in January 2001, bringing the children back to their father, _____.
She was originally acquitted of abducting the children, but has since been ordered to stand trial again. She?s scheduled to make a court appearance next week.
The same year, Father was convicted of abducting his four-year-old daughter from an Ontario reservation after an approved visit, and bringing her back to _____.
At the time, the judge said Father "seems to relish litigation," and called him "volatile and unpredictable."
Mother and Father married in April 2003.
Later that year, an Ontario court cut off Mother?s access to the triplets, saying Mother and Father were "dedicated to relentlessly attempting to indoctrinate these three naive, open, innocent minds to their mother?s inflexible and adamant view of reality."
Mother and Father shot back that the case amounted to legal extortion, an abuse of the process and "emotional blackmail."
"Children don?t have the right to their parents in this country. It makes me sick," Father told reporters.
