    H.

When one types in a search for jw's, the following description shows up in relation to this website ....

Jehovahs-witness discussion forum The Place to discuss anything relating to jehovahs witnesses and the watchtower bible and tract society....

That is verbatim... Please do not insult our intelligence by pretending you were somehow duped. Does the word ANYTHING mean anything to you?

I don't know. I think you may yet lurk around. I mean of course you have heard all about the dangers of the internet from the publications and from the platform, no, something like curiosity must have gotten the better of you to bring you here.

Of course you will find witness websites and witness discussion boards that are all witness only, but you will find there the same uninteresting mush spooned out at the increasingly dumbed down meetings and publications. Methinks more adventure lies here, where you are actually allowed to discuss your beliefs openly, as you have been afforded that opportunity here. We have all had turns discussing what you have posted with you and I'm sure you have noticed that not everyone here is of like mind. Again, that is using your god given thinking ability, something you may think you are able to do within the sphere of the organization, but sadly, you will find that true freedom of thought is curtailed there. Not an accusation, just an observation.

Not everyone here is an athiest, not everyone here is agnostic, the difference here is that you are ALLOWED to be if you want to and we are perfectly happy in discussing one anothers beliefs. Sometimes the conversation is heated, and doesn't even center on religion, but nonetheless what we have here is a group of people from all walks of life who can coexist and can also be of their own mind. Its the way humanity is supposed to be, and the way, if you believe in a creator, we were created. So don't be afraid to use your brain, to use what God gave you, we can accept it, we can accept your beliefs and even discuss them with you if you wish.

You mentioned the Catholic Church, how foolish it would be for one to leave the Witness religion and join the Catholics. While I would not debate you in that statement, what I must ask is why you think that the witnesses are better than the Catholics, or the Baptists or the Hindus or Buddhists for that matter. But even taking just christian religions into account, why the Witnesses? And why must you hold so firmly to their doctrines? Have you done an investigation as to whether the Witness organization is any better than say the Catholics in leading the worshiper down the true path to God? You may think that you are hedging your bets with God in order to do "what you think is right" in order to gain the reward at some point in the future, but is this a wise way to lead your life?

The reason I bring it up is because how one lives their life is the most important decision one makes. Certainly you remember when you were a child, didn't that seem like it was just yesterday? Every day we live longer and use up more of this gift of life that we were given. The only thing that we are ABSOLUTELY SURE of, is that everyone who has ever lived has died. It doesn't matter how long, some die young, others live into their 100's, but every man woman and child ever born on this planet has died. All of us are mortal and that is something we all have to face. You obviously put faith in the bible and believe that God provides salvation for humans from this fate. Your belief in this is great and perfectly fine and normal, but what I would say to you is that an organization is hijacking this belief and putting you in shackles. If you believe in the Jesus of the bible then it is something that he would never have envisioned for the people that listened to his message to be a part of. The watchtower organization is using your faith in the bible and substituting itself for God. They are using your faith. There is such a thing as christian freedom, perhaps the organization that you belong to is keeping you from living the life that God intended you to live.

All I am saying is that you owe it to yourself to find out, you owe it to yourself to do an investigation and see whether or not you are a follower of men or a follower of God, if following God is what you want to do with your life. Jesus taught that he was the mediator between God and man, not an organization.

They did not say "go buy Nikes and a jump suit and drink THIS!"

I can tell that you are a young person and very easily influenced by the WT drivel. They are increasing becoming a mind destroying cult.I urge you to study the history of the WT and see how they have changed. I can think of one change that should scare you or at least set off warning bells in your head.

Before the last major failure of WT predictions....The 1975 fiasco the Truth book was published. In it people were urged to examine their religions to see if they meet the standard of truth. This included your own religion the JW's.

The latest truth is to NOT EXAMINE what you believe. NEVER QUESTION or THINK about what we tell you.TRUST in us fully and you will be saved. In fact is you do even ask questions this shows a BAD attitude. Read the Orwell book 1984 and see what you think. Oh sorry I forgot..You can't.

No, for decades, they said "Don't take vaccinations, they are no good! They'll kill you!" They said, "No Organ transplants!!!" "No blood whatsoever!!"

But they keep changing the doctrines, people who waited too long on transplants are dead, or blind. People who were delayed on vaccinations are crippled from polio, or scarred for life, or sterile, or dead.

They now allow almost all blood fractions, just not at the same time. The JW's kill more people every year than Heavens Gate. Hell, my dad might even be alive if not for the F'ing blood policy. See, disfellowshipping is often compared to stoning in ancient Israel. But if you ate unbled meat you were sent out of camp for a day or two. Same as if a woman was on her cycle. Saul was forgiven for eating blood in a time of need, and Jesus was much more about saving lives than the letter of the law, even if it was a mule, much less a human. No, the Jw's are one most lethal religions in the world.

Sorry, H., but that dog won't hunt.

Best regards with love may you all find your way again brothers so we can finally and truely be free, from this World of Satan.

You know - that one statement really is a kind one. We may not agree on a religious standpoint - but I appreciate that you want to part on friendly terms and that you are truly concerned for the wellbeing of others. I do not believe that the "body of Christ" exists in any denomination but within people themselves as they accept him as their lord and savior and allow him to mold their lives. He said that you would be known if you have "love among yourselves" - and H. your statement does show that you do have love for others. Right on!

Hope you stick around and join in on some of the discussions - it would be nice to hear a JW point of view from someone who is level-headed and just honestly wants to speak with an open-mind about things.

If not - I understand and wish you the best.

One thing I must say is that H is one of the nicer JWs who has drifted onto here. Yeah, at first, he/she started out with a bit of an attack, but seems to have kinda mellowed out.

We've all seen the JWs that come on here, and most of them use the word "Jehovah will" in almost every sentence. However, it seems that H has a bit of respect for whatever each of us believes. H sounds like one of the rare good JWs.

    H. I hope that you keep reading, and keep making 'one more post' until you've attended your last 'spiritual' function of jehovah's witnesses. we were you once. my hope for you is that eventually, you will find peace, and realize that not everyone has to be the same and that the greatest relief in life comes from figuring out that not only don't you know it all, but you don't need to to be happy.

    peace!
