    Valis and Mulan,

The Postman---the book---was one of my favorite books of all times. I don't know how Kevin Costner could have messed it up any worse! It was really bad.

I love the Mad Max movies one and two. Part three was really stupid and I just dont get it, even after watching it over and over. How is a shanty town built by methane by a Black Woman in Austrialia and she has no Aussie accent?

And what was the train/truck used in the end and what were the tracks built for?

Is the Airplane guy the same one from part two and the retarded Blaster the retard cousin fo Max's from part one?

    But part 2 rules!

    Hi Wasasister,
I like Being John Malkovich also-bought it, in fact.

    Other "embarassing" loves:
Sleepy Hollow (it's funny, and has Johnny Depp in it)

    Edward Scissorhands

Tomb Raider (liked the first one, not the second)

I love the oldies, too. I haven't seen Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, though. I love the old Godzilla series, The Blob, and the one about giant ants taking over the world (can't remember what its called)

Then there are the 70s films-does anyone remember SSSSS, Frogs, Killer Bees?

    Gently Feral,
Have you seen "Marvin's Room"? It's got Leonardo Di Caprio, Meryl Streep, and others in it. It's pretty good.

I loved "What's Eating Gilbert Grape." More for Johnny Depp, though, when I watched it;)Considering how young he was, Leo did very well in his role, though.

Leonardo Di Caprio is a pretty good actor. I didn't much like Romeo and Juliet (maybe because my son is a Shakespeare nut and I've had to watch it more times than I can count), but Leo is very good with the Shakespearean stuff.I'd like to see him in more roles along that lines.

Thanks for adding to the "shame list". This could be a fun thread all on its own.

I really miss Mystery Science Theater 300. Hands down, the best way to enjoy a bad movie.
