Do you want the real truth or not?

Dearest Jason... may you have peace!

No WAY did I think you a JW... they don't 'have' holy spirit (that is, unless you kinda old and grey and... hey, you aren't old and grey, are ya?)

No, seriously, I understand what you were MEANING to do... your INTENTION, but the spirit of my Father that is in me by means of Christ compelled me to point out what you WERE doing.

May I now say to you in the words of the writer of Hebrews:

"Hence, straighten up the hands that hang down and
the enfeebled knees, and keep making straight paths
for yourselves, that what is lame may not be put out
of joint, but rather that it may be healed. Pursue
peace with ALL people, and the sanctification without
which no man wil see the Lord."

Actually, Hebrews 12:4-14 is the entire issue.

The intent was not to stop you from speaking, Jason, but simply to shed a little 'light' on you. And evidenced by your humility, it was 'received'... and thus I have 'gained' you, my brother.

Therefore, if you have a 'work' to do, be about doing it. THAT... and making sure that you endeavor to it in all love and kindness... will make you 'right'... with God.

May the undeserved kindness and mercy of my God and Father, JAH OF ARMIES, and the peace of His Son and Christ, my Lord, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH, serve to be upon you... until time indefinite.

I am your servant, as I am servant to ALL those of the Household of God, Israel... as well as a slave of Christ,

    SJ

    Larcy Larc,

Since you are in a position to tell me what's true and false why don't you teach me. Oh wait, it's all grey so I guess it doesn't matter what 2 + 2 equals. All depends on how you interpret it, right?

    Hey Jason
Sometime during a break from getting your head back together, would you mind looking up some stuff on Ice Core Drilling?
Try this link for a start and a pretty good overview.
Even has some science sounding like papers done up by the guys that are really into it.
    www.glaciology.gfy.ku.dk/

You also can do a search on the deepest core drilled to date. The Vostok Ice Core in the Antarctic.
Obviously a new science and I have seen some conflicting data on the subject, but nonetheless, thousands of feet of ice ought to get you well past your Noachian epic with Noah and Son's Inc. floating around in Waterworld, Yes?
All sorts of cool stuff inside Ice Cores, Jason. Like gases from the atmosphere like carbon dioxide and methane all locked up in there along with all sorts of biotic material like fungi spores pollen and algae, blown in on the winds along with various soil particulates. Sounds like they can even figure out where the dust blew in from indicating wind direction and whatnot.
Even shows from the past any major volcanic activity which helps in the dating process of a certain layer.
    Pretty Cool, Eh?
    But even if you ain't into reading what all them little lines are and spectro analyzing or even learning what "ion chromatography" is or what a "tortuosity factor" might be, or maybe you don't even care to learn some cool new words like "dust flux" and "Firnication",(now theres a word you might not want to get a typo in while doing up your paper for submission to the Science Guy Fraternities, Eh what?);
The point being that if a Core Sample just zips on past a point in time, say like around 4000 odd years ago, there ought to be some evidence that Noah's Company breathed a whole lot of CO2 and CH4 while waiting for land to finally make an appearance. Yes?
I always thought that there were never enough windows in all them Ark depictions over the years.

    No?
Of course you might argue that ANY Core sample WOULD all look the same since it is ALL Post Flood ice, Right?
In other words, ALL the Old Ice got lifted up off bedrock and floated away and melted, Right?
And since you think the earth is only 10 or 70 thousand years old, depending on who you hang with, the Ice Couldn't of been that thick at the poles to start with since it couldn't of snowed a whole lot cuz all the water vapor was hanging out in that Heavenly Ocean called the Canopy or Vapor Canopy being held up there by direct Divine Will just waiting around for everybody except Noah to come along and get good and evil so God could finally release the Vapor Canopy and Vaporize the planet, Right?
Therefore, ALL that snow and ice for THOUSANDS OF FEET is all there cuz it snowed a lot in the last 4000 years in order to relocate that Old Canopy thereby making a NEW Canopy of Ice and Snow at the poles, Right?
Therefore, in your view, they are just reading Post Flood Ice?

I read somewhere recently that the calculated air pressure on the surface with the weight of that "Heavenly Ocean" hanging just above in the atmosphere based, I believe, on 900 meters of depth to be in the neighborhood of 13,000psi.
Could this be True or did somebody forget to carry a 2?
At that pressure, I wonder how long it would take water to boil. Would I have to buy a Blast Furnace in order to make a cup of coffee in the morning?

    Anyway, Get Well Soon!

    Hi Larc,
I have to run off here directly, but here is some info that might help in the meantime.
Using the NIV "Cypress" for wood, in this case specifically "Bald Cypress" here is some data.
    Height 100-120'or more
    Diameter 3-5'rarely 10'or more
    Deciduous
Habitat very wet swampy soils of riverbanks, floodplain lakes.
Called the "Wood Eternal" because of the heartwoods resistance to decay.
Used for heavy construction, including docks, warehouses, boats, Arks :o), bridges, as well as general millwork and interior trim.

You ought to be able to get a 24"X 24" beam out of a 36" diameter tree, but Cypress also flares at the bottom and tapers fairly fast. Also has a lot of branches so splitting would be a real drag except for maybe sticks to make cages.

Takes a hard days work to make a square beam say 8"x8" around 12-16'long with a good crosscut saw for scoring the round and a sharp broadaxe for hewing and later adzing if you want it to look nice. A good broadaxeman can usually skip the adzing.
The older method was to use the ax for scoring the round down which is just more hard work.
I would think an equally hard day, most likely more, to cut down a tree and then you still have to limb it out and then more major problems of getting it to the worksite.

Check this site out on ancient carpentry tools from Egypt.
    http://nefertiti.freeyellow.com/egypt/trades/carpenters.htm

Will give you a good idea what sort of garbage they had for SAWS.
I think ALL the timbers would have to be hewed.
Thinner planks could be split and the heavier parts taken down to the thinnest dimension with the adz.
Earliest bronze tools date back to the 4th Dynasty which is Great Pyramid building days and a close time frame to the supposed Flood.
Theoretically, the Great Pyramid should have been under water.
If not, then a great civilization got up and running and got REAL Stupid in a hurry and REAL soon after the Flood.
There has got to be something wrong with folks that want to chisel LOTS of BIG Rocks into Cubes and then lug them all over hell and gone and then go and stack them all up nice and neat.
    I would have Moved!
    France maybe and grow grapes.

Also check this site out and tell me what you think.
www.flood-myth.com/ark.htm and also /flyer.htm and /contents.htm after the .com thingie.

Interesting info! If somebody did screwup by using the "cubit" measurement instead of the "span" measurement, then the Ark all of a sudden is halfway believable, within the building limits and tequniques of the period. Even still, the largest Egyptian barges much over 200' leaked like sieves.

    Got to run!

What's getting me, if this bozo wanted to start a thread about the Flood, why didn't he just do it instead of saying some wacky bullshit like "Do you want the real truth or not?"

Jason, you are getting your proverbial arse kicked. Why not just go along and play nicely with the other young earth zealots? Perhaps you didn't notice, we don't want your version of 'the real truth.'

    Ha.

    Lisa,

First off, this thread wasn't intended to have anything to do with Noah's ark. It wasn't even intended for people like you who come here just to put people down for having a different view. The whole Noah's ark topic was brought about because someone asked for it. It wasn't enough for these people to leave it alone, they needed to hear what I believe about certain topics. Noah's ark was just something to talk about. But you obviously know everything about it and that it could never happen so you don't really need to be here. Just because you like these people's arguments doesn't mean I got my "butt kicked." If all it is about is kicking someones butt in an argument then there is really no reason to talk about anything. I could prove beyond a doubt that it was true and no one would notice. And they probably think the same thing about me so there is no reason to even continue this thread. Once I have studied more concerning what these people have asked me to and visited all the websites, then I will start a Noah's Ark thread. One last thing, calm down.

    Jason.

    Jason,

The reason the subject came up was people wanted a sample of your "real truth." You see, people here thought they had the real truth at one time, only to find out that it was a crock. So when another "real truth" comes along, they are highly suspicious, with good reason. Anyone who comes here with even a hint of arragance, which you did, is headed for trouble.

You asserted in your last post that you have proved your theory. Kid, you haven't even come close. Now, if you want to do some research and start over again, hey, go for it my child.

I still think the Noah story is a fable handed down from generation to generation by illiterate people who had a local flood in their history (which primative tribe didn't.) One of the reasons it survived until today is that Joshua wiped out the entire nation of Canann (he made Hitler and Stalin look like pickers). Otherwise, you would be reading the holy books of Canann and defending their old myths. Think about it son.

    Larc,

While it seems I came here with an arrogant attitude it wasn't intended. I got off on the wrong foot and made a few enemies. And you are right. If someone comes here claiming to have the truth, especially with ex-cult, they have good reason to be suspicious or down right hostile. My point is I started off foolishly not thinking of the consequences. Since then I have tried to apologize for that but it doesn't seem to work real well. I'm sure there are others on this site who believe many of the same things I do but they are not attacked because of the way they approach it. But the fact that I am not popular doesn't invalidate anything I say.

You made a mistake yourself. You said that I asserted that I have proven "my theory." I have not said this at any time. I haven't even implied it. I said, "I could prove beyond a doubt...," but I was speaking hypothetically. I know I haven't proven it. About doing research, that is exactly what I am doing. I will probably start a Noah's ark thread at a later time.

I, however, still believe very strongly in the Biblical account of Noah's ark. I believe the people of Noah's day were not primitive but to the contrary, more intelligent than ourselves. According to the evolutionary view we are becoming more intelligent. The Biblical view teaches that we are degenerating. So I Noah was a brilliant man. We seem to be the most intelligent only because of our technology. But we are standing on the shoulders of all who have come before us. If our technology was taken away it would take a hell of a long time to get back to where we are. I am off topic.

    Jason.

    Hey Jason,

It takes a certain amount of humility to admit you came into this forum in a wrong manner with the wrong attitude. Thanks for the apology. See ya when you're done with your research.
