Life sucks and then...What? You die. True enough, life is hard at times, many people want to get off.

I?m not sure what your really trying to say but it doesn?t sound good, all I can offer is the experience of someone who lost a 20 year old brother to depression. Even if your life seems of little importance to you, be assured it is worth something to those around you, including members of this board.

Added together that adds up to a whole heap of reasons to keep fighting.

Sorry to be callous, but these kind of posts really p*ss me off!

We now probably have several hundred people concerned about someone's welfare, and in no position to help beyond what we see on our screen. The level of frustration mounts with every minute.

I hope that if I ever get into the state where I feel like topping myself I'll have the decency to just call 999 (Brit version of 911) for help, rather than raise the stress levels of friends.

If this is just a joke thread, then they need slapping upside the head. It's not funny!

I guess this is all too raw. Last week a guy hung himself near a public footpath, nearby, and the first person to find him was a small boy who I used to teach in Sunday School. The kid is traumatised, and can't get the picture out of his head of the neighbour that he knew just swinging in the breeze...
