I believe that the gut feeling of the dub who might say this, is not so much that a "great crowd" cannot be wrong, but rather perhaps "All those individuals that I grew up with and admire? Surely fatherly Bro. .......and the dear things that are so familiar , they cannot be wrong. And me, after all these years, I cannot be wrong"
I certainly felt this way when things first struck me. I thought of those men with whom I had served as an elder, a few were really decent otherwise intelligent people who lived for the faith . People for whom I had respect. And could I really have wasted my life and screwed up so badly? Surely not...
It does take guts to stand up and say "I was wrong" .. all those of us on this board have found the courage to do that.. Six million others do not wish to face the unpalatable truth.
