    Thanks Merry!

I think we all have thoes same old wants and dreams as we were little.

I hope you guys follow your dreams. Dreams are beautiful because when you make them your life you never have to wake up.

    Yes, I became a doctor.

Also, I mean really, who ever wanted to actually be a pioneer? You got guilted into it. All the b.s. about how spiritually rewarding it was blah, blah. It sucked.

Good for you EF! At least you did something that you wanted to do. Congrats on that.

Yeah really who wanted to Pioneer? I said I did but that was just please my Mother and my Sister. I can laugh about it. That's my Career I go door to door and get paid nothing and have door slammed in my face. That's a Job where you can really hate your boss.

When I was little, I really, actually wanted to be a missionary. I know, loser! But I've always had a love for language, so I wanted to go, learn a foreign language, be in a different country, that type thing.

Then when I was in high school I wanted to be a hairstylist, but my mom discouraged me. I was determined until she said, "Sister such-and-such in Brooklyn says they need hairstylists. Maybe you could go to Bethel!"

That was the end of that.

Now, I want to be a high school teacher(history). I'm starting at the beginning of my college career.

I was expecting to be murdered by Jesus so I really didn't dare to dream or certainly not plan. I was told if I didn't do task A., B., and C., in a good way and worship big "J" and little "J", I would be murdered by Jesus at Armageddon any day.

I waited to die. I skipped classes and didn't turn in assignments in school. I didn't graduate with my class from high school and I didn't care and I waited to die. I got a terrible job that fit a guy with a terrible outlook and I waited to die. Then Armageddon was supposed to come in 1975 and I thought I wanted to be married and have a baby and time was running out because I was waiting to die.

While waiting to die and working nights I was missing all night meetings and I started to notice some things and I started to think. Then when I was 30, I happened to notice the year text for 1974 and that was it. I quit. From 1974 on, I started to put together a life and get an education and establish some blurry boundaries.

After 1975 I didn't plan to die anymore but at first I was kinda pissed that I hadn't. I was really better prepared to die that I was prepared to live at that point. I liked to work with wood, so I stayed with that.

I decided I wanted to be a success but I couldn't define the word so it was a little difficult to achieve. I wanted to be happy but I couldn't define that either. I wanted security but I couldn't figure out what that was.

I guess I'm a good case study of a kid who was raised to think he was going to be murdered by a deity and be bird food. it made a rewarding life a bit of a challenge.

My childhood heroes were fictional characters like the Lone Ranger or Zorro. I wished for the admiration and respect they achieved but I wasn't doing anything admirable or respectable. On the contrary, I was a Jehovah's Witness. Here in Dakota in the 1950's we rightly weren't very highly thought of. We treated people with contempt. We insulted them and their religions week after week in person and in the literature we pedalled door to door.

At the meetings the speakers told us we were hated because we had the truth. In reality the reason people didn't like us was we were bad. So, I guess as a kid I was a bad kid in a bad group living a bad live and I wanted to be the Lone Ranger.

Chia.. I am so happy for you! I loved my History teacher in High School. I remember he was so hot! MMMMmmmmmmmmmm Mr. M come over here. I made him stutter a few times in class with me winking at him. I was so naughty but I knew he thought I was fun. He even said to me once..." You don't look like you are in High School." What does that mean...lol

I am glad you are going to college and doing something in life that you want! I think it is so Great!

Thanks for the good wishes, Brooke! I'm really happy about this. Just a few years ago, I never dreamed this would be possible. My boyfriend is so supportive of me too, and my father is thrilled. He always had the highest hopes for me, and he was disappointed when I started pioneering(but he never let on).

I had a hot student teacher...Mr. A. All the guys were jealous of him, but the girls loved him. He was in my english class. He couldn't hide those rippling muscles under that suit...wow...is it hot in here? Ahem!
