guidance ,love ,understanding, and wanting whats best for your kids is alot different than forced servitude, low self esteem, crazy dillusions of demons and the supernatural.By thye way,you got crayons, when I was about 6 on,if I didn't remember some "point" from the meeting,I was threatened with physical violence-spanking ,whatever, sometimes I got it sometimes I didn't.Jehovahs Witnesses wouldn't know what a proper family was if it kicked them in the face.

I am glad you were never forced to take it that seriously,I wish that was my situation. But I'm a crybaby and can't help it.

I'm curious as to why anyone would feel the need to respond to a Dirt Bag like this. Let him have his say and be on his way. None of us needs to defend the way we've been treated or the way we feel. Comments like his are below us all.

    Very amusing, foreward! LOL!

Well, smelly, I was initially annoyed with you after reading your first post on this thread. But I've gone ahead and read all of your responses and I find you rather likeable, just kind of irresponsible and lackadaisical.

You seem to really be willing to consider others' thoughts and feelings and probably just wanted to "have a say" at the beginning. Express your initial 'take' on this website. Maybe you were even trying to be helpful.

I read what you said about your one male friend's experience with disfellowshipping. Ok, well, my son experienced the same thing, though he was fairly popular before being df'd too. But when he came back, as you say, the bad boy image worked in his social favor with the girls. But he's the "one woman" type to his core so he doesn't act on all the offers. It's amazing.

Just want to point out to you that this works in the opposite for females in the organization. Instead of the "bad-boy enigma" being a positive, it's a terrible stigma in general for the girls/women. Double standard, just like in the world in general.

Personally, I DESPISE the disfellowshipping arrangement of Jehovah's Witnesses and find it pretty shallow of you to say that you think it's a good thing. Young people should not be treated this way, nor should most people be shunned for various actions. JW's are very hurtful with their marking and shunning and it really does hurt many, many families.

Nice to have you here though. Hope you stick around.

sm has asked reasonable questions, and I have answered. We have not been `arguing`, we are having a friendly discussion. I can make my own choices about who I reply to on the forum, but thanks for your thoughts on the matter.

And besides, many other browsers may read this thread as well as our friend sm, and I for one, feel that no personal anecdote or reasonable reply is wasted.

well, at least someone likes me, hehe. i was trying to be helpful in the OP, though. i didn't realize how scarred some have been and thus i have recanted from that statement. well only human. no i wasn't trying to raise noise here but i actually thought all were sour grapes. well not all but some are. but i can understnad their anger.

JESUS, MAN!! Horrible things don't have to happen to YOU personally in order to realize how something is terribly wrong with an organization! Do you have to get personally screwed over to get this? It's guys like you that drive me up the wall, you rationalize things so you can keep your little dream world alive and find a "nice jw girl". There are WAY too many guys like you in that cult.
