The problem with posting a profile is that if you are over forty you tend to attract types who are looking for money.
Tell me about it! I signed up on an online dating site over a year ago just as a joke. I couldn't count the number of women half my age that messaged me claiming to be "hot" for me. And some of the pictures they sent! I'm sure they were only "hot" for my bank account.

I think I've only experienced that once as a 34 y/o and she was blatantly after money right from the outset - went to see her to "go on a bike ride" and she needed money to fill her tank up - and it got far worse from there. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of seeing her a second time as well.
