**This is a piece I posted on H20 some time ago. It was so well-recieved at the time
that I thought I would repost it here for your enjoyment.**

Not HALF as well-received as when you declared that you "would no longer post on this forum".

I guess you really ARE the Master of Decepiton!

    To Joanne:

Do you think that the WTS is part of God's Master plan of deception, they all or in part being decieved, or do you believe that the WTS is God's chosen organization?

I believe that Jehovah is definitely using the Watchtower to accomplish his purpose. It has served to bring His issues to the fore. The thing to remember though, is that the Judgment BEGINS with those who belong to God. So that means that we must bear the brunt of his forthcoming reproof before we can receive his blessing. So it is not all or nothing. God's organization doesn't have to be perfect, at this point anyway, in order to accomplish this phase of his purpose. I fear though that many merely set themselves up to be stumbled by imagining that the Watchtower has to be flawless or else it can't be what it claims to be. And too, I recognize that the Watchtower is largely responsible for creating this myth of the faithful slave's own infallibility.

If they are unknowingly helping God carry out this deception, and they themselves are the decieved ones (along at least 6 billion other people), then who are the 'chosen ones'?

There are differnet levels of deception, or perhaps a better word for deception is---UNENLIGHTENMENT. Consider more closely the example I gave of Christ's disciples not being able to grasp that Christ had to die an inglorious death. The Scripture says that "it was concealed from them that they might not see through it." So they were unenlightened about certain aspects of Jehovah's purpose at that time, and it was God's will that they were in that condition. The Jews on the other hand were absolutely blind. So, even though there were key aspects that the apostles were not permitted to understand at that point they were nontheless in a position to be enlightened when the time arrived. That's the position that Jehovah's Witnesses are in relative to the unbelievers at this point. Yes, there are many things that Jehovah has concealed from his people at the present time, but, when Christ arrives and cleans house, so-to-speak, the remnant that remain faithful will then receive God's blessing and enlightenment in the fullest measure. That situation is comparable to when, after Christ's resurrection, after his disciples were put through the humiliating ordeal of denying and abandoning him at his arrest, then Jesus fully opened up their minds to grasp what up to that point had been concealed from them.

The thing is, We always imagine ourselves to have it all figured out. That attitude automatically sets us up to be reproved and humiliated by Jehovah God. Like Paul said: "If anyone thinks he has acquired knowledge of something, he does not yet know it just as he ought." The chosen ones though, in answer to your question is revealed in the very next verse of 1 Corinthians 8:3, which says: "But, if anyone loves God, this one is known by him."

How do you know you are a 'chosen one'?

I know I love God, and I also recognize that many of my brothers do too. So, love surpasses knowledge, or lack of. In the end God's chosen ones will be revealed by the fact that we take God's withering denunciation, because even that will be proof of his love for us. / You Know
