  Friend said they're really emphasizing "Family Worship Evening" at the Convention - why did they get rid of the book study then?

  i just had a chat with a friend i haven't seen for a while.

  he knows we're inactive.

  he was trying to encourage us by relating what he heard at the convention, saying "the end is near" and then proceeded to tell me that what stood out the most was how many times the society emphasized "family worship" night at the convention.. it got me thinking, why did they get rid of the book study arrangement in private homes if they're so keen on forcing people to have family worship night?

  This reaction on the part of the rank and file only proves succinctly that the R&F WILL RUN LIKE HELL when the gate is opened! They arent being held by ANYTHING. If the Society started having meetings ONLINE OPTIONAL and said...stay home and sit in front of the computer with your family in your jammies with your coffee and slippers brothers, its Jehovahs Way of Simplifying his Arrangement. Do you think for a NANOSECOND there would be an outcry from the FRIENDS that they WANT to put their monkey suits on and dress the kids and go to the hall in the snow???

  And do you think they WOULD sit in front of the computer and watch it? HELL NO they wouldnt. This religion is a farce. And it is held together with ONLY the threat of losing your family if you DONT FOLLOW THEIR RULES.

  If it werent for the threat of disfellowshipping there would hardly be anyone left in the halls. Absofuckinglutely true.

  All this crap does is turn people against EACH OTHER inside the cage. They start judging and categorizing each other causing divisions and judging and gossiping and paranoia inside the organization itself. Those of us who have left are outside their reach. Now they are turning in on themselves. Does this reflect a world wide brotherhood or a worldwide organization of judges juries and executioners?

  They have solidly shot themselves in the foot and continue to do so.

  Smoking tobacco- ex-JW's have a warped view, so what should we do?

  i used to smoke cigarettes.

  i quit as i was learning the lies of the watchtower organization.. i used to smoke between 1 and 3 packs a day depending on whether i went drinking or not.. .

  i didn't really quit for the religion, but as i was learning it.. i swore to quit when cigarettes got to cost me more than a buck a pack.

  newspapers throughout the us and canada have covered it.

  also many tv stations have covered it?

  Dont you remember their big campaign strategy? ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE!!! And thats all it is...around the Palm Beach County area, they were advertising their convention as a "survive the end of the world seminar to be held every friday" when the reality was it was the first friday of each week of the convention they were going to have ANYWAY despite whatever the hell the economy was doing this year! BAIT AND SWITCH!! FOOL the public into coming! Luuuuuure them in like a spider in a web.

  I say if the JWs ban smoking they should also ban ALCOHOL. You can call smoking pharmacaia or whatever it is they label drug use, but being a DRUNK definitely IS in the Bible and THEY DONT DO A DAMN THING about all the ALCOHOLICS in their midst!

  And Ren dont you dare say there arent. It was RAMPANT in all the congregations I was in.

  I loved that there were NON SMOKING sections in airplanes too...ummmm ok Im in row 12 and nonsmoking starts in row 13???

  The WTBTS is a publishing company. It did not start out even being a CHRISTIAN organization but one meant to become the New World Order with people of ALL faiths, including Jews, in it. The WTBTS printed and distributed got money from...their publications. When the united states decided they needed to start paying INCOME TAX on these publications, suddenly it all became "free" on a "donation basis" to avoid paying those taxes. And of course it was pawned off as Jehovahs Will. Nobody was told the truth of the matter.

  Just like the WTBTS being a member of the United Nations for ten years...funny how they never mentioned this to the flock and yet continued to villify the UN as the BEAST...when they themselves were sucking from the teat of the beast for all that time.

  I believe we were discussing Russia... but it doesnt matter what organization it is, if it KILLS people with its "beliefs" in the Name Of God then it shouldnt be allowed to exist. If it HATES people in the Name of God it should not be allowed to rally people to its cause either. The Borg wants the entire human population to DIE soon except for themselves. Thats enough evidence for me that they are vile and evil.
